Siavahda Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I know I'm not the only one with a list of deck-statuses to check in on, or who keeps a close eye on artists working on fabulous projects. So if this hasn't been done yet - what WiP decks are you most excited about? Besides the True Black, I can't wait to see the finished versions of Yoshi Yoshitani's Fairytale Tarot, the Lubanko, and Sam Guay's Blood Moon deck. And I'm already coveting Paulina Cassidy's Phantasma Tarot, though as far as I can tell there's been almost no information about it. Who cares: it's Paulina Cassidy! Of course I must have it! Noa Ikeda's deck looks like it's going to be stunning, too - and while I'm not that sold on the art style, I'll probably end up with a copy of Trung Nguyen’s Flagship Tarot, for the concept of multiple Lovers cards and diverse tarot characters. I also really like the look of the Lunaea Weatherstone & Meraylah Allwood deck, which I don't think has a name yet? It's not my usual style, but the card images I've seen so far are just so beautiful! What about everyone else? What decks have you been pining for for ages, or eagerly anticipating? We all know we're here to pad out our wishlists...
EmpyreanKnight Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I really want the R. Black Tarot, but it looks like we have to wait two more years until it gets finished. I'm also very curious about Lo Scarabeo's Millenium Thoth Tarot. The one small and blurred sample image it had looked rather promising. :P
Lantana Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I only have one deck in progress I’m watching: The Otherkin Tarot, by the same creator of the Linestrider. I passed on the Linestrider because while I liked the art and a few of the cards, I didn’t like how many medival-ish people were in it... So a deck by her with just animals and mythological creatures sounds perfect! Edit: aaaaand now the Lubanko is on my list too. ;D
CharlotteK Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Malpertuis (Neil Lovell) seems to have a few new decks in development for release in 2018 including a couple of Tarot decks and a Lenormand. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Little Fang Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Otherkin Tarot?! Count me in. I found a couple of images on the website, but is there another place I can watch for progress? I'm waiting for the kickstarter on the 78 Days of Cats Tarot, if it keeps that name. I've been watching the progress on Instragram and the images are so soft and lovely!
CharlotteK Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Also watching this and praying it gets funded. I have the first edition and this second remastered version looks good. I went for the two deck pack with the Mantegna. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

What decks have you been pining for for ages, or eagerly anticipating? We all know we're here to pad out our wishlists... The Lunaea Weaterstone deck is the one I can't wait for. I'm also really interested in the True Black Tarot.

The Otherkin tarot sounds interesting - I love decks with magical beasties on them. Do you have any links to card art? I can't seem to find pictures of more than two or three cards. :edit: Sorry, I just saw the mention about the artist's Instagram. Thank you!
Siavahda Posted March 1, 2018 Author Posted March 1, 2018 I just discovered the Luminous Tarot by Brigid Ashwood (http://www.brigidashwood.com/about-the-luminous-tarot/). I suspect it'll be a LONG time in coming, since it looks like only a few of the Major Arcana are done so far, but for the first time I find myself really loving someone's take on a quite traditional approach to the RWS. I mean, the cards are so immediately identifiable as being almost the classic RWS - except for how they're not, in these small, gorgeous, fantastic details. I am evil and absolutely encourage everyone to check it out :D

AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 are there any images found for the "Millennium Thoth Tarot" Lo Scarabeo, I'm not turning up anything. thanks
EmpyreanKnight Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 are there any images found for the "Millennium Thoth Tarot" Lo Scarabeo, I'm not turning up anything. thanks I did say that it's only one small, blurred sample image, so look at the rightmost image in the card here:
Jewel Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 The Millennium Thoth looks great. Can't wait to see more cards.
EmpyreanKnight Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 I just wish that they'd name it Millenium Thoth and not Thot. I think our American friends mean something different when they say T.H.O.T.
CharlotteK Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Also watching this and praying it gets funded. I have the first edition and this second remastered version looks good. I went for the two deck pack with the Mantegna. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk I am SO rooting for Freder on his revised Tinker's Damn. It looks very touch and go at the moment with 15 days to go. The shipping is high, as always seems to be the case with KS, but $23 dollars for the Tarot and $55 for the Tarot AND Mantegna deluxe set - which looks absolutely awesome - is frankly a brilliant price for something as original and well executed as this. He's still putting finishing touches to his revisions to the Mantegna and the new cards he has posted are cool. It's the same printer/producer as the Trick or Tarot Deck, which is very high quality. The first edition of Tinker's Damn is one of my most treasured decks and gives wonderful readings. I know the Devil (enslavement) was a deal breaker for some people and I understand why, but it's undeniably a very powerful card. It would be such a shame to see this one fold after all the work Freder has put into it. I can't believe he doesn't have backers queuing up for it at that price. If anyone's on the fence I am here to totally enable you because this is a GREAT deck :) Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
