VGimlet Posted March 10, 2018 Author Posted March 10, 2018 I'm still in with the DruidCraft Tarot. I must have been thinking of a different deck, because I DO like it. :D I hope everyone had a good week. Mine was crazy busy, but I still stayed caught up for once.
NerdyShelties Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 I'm in this week with Thoth. For some reason I really want to work with it, so I'm going with it.
Bodhiseed Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Rosetta Tarot / Ascension to Paradise Thank you, VG!
jema Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Doing a TdM reading this week so might as well use the deck the whole week. Rhenan TdM for me
Trogon Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 Since things are settling down a bit for me (again), I feel that I can start devoting a little more time to Tarot. That being the case, it seems to me that the DotW is a good place to start posting again. I actually changed to a different deck last week, but will be continuing to use it through this week as well. I had felt the need for something softer as I moved back into my spiritual work. With that in mind, I chose the Shadowscapes Tarot - one of the "kindest" decks I have. Although I refer to it as being "kind", it still doesn't hold back when you need something pointed out ... it just does it in a nicer way I think. Trogon - Shadowscapes Tarot
CharlotteK Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 I'm working with the newly landed Deirdre of the Sorrows this week. These cards feel like nothing else I've handled before. Super textured and flexible. CharlotteK- Deirdre of the Sorrows Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Page of Ghosts Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 I still want to keep at it with the same decks as last week. Or, even if the Circo is very beautiful I think I'm more in an oracle mood so just the Faeries unless I decide to switch it up. Page of Ghosts - Faeries Oracle
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Smith/Astrop Moon Oracle for me, thanks VG!
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I'm working with the newly landed Deirdre of the Sorrows this week. These cards feel like nothing else I've handled before. Super textured and flexible Utterly delicious, Linen. Playing cards used to come with that finish too. Deck is long traded on, but that card finish...love love loved
nicalo427 Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 My new deck. The wild unknown came in the mail yesterday a week earlier then it should have. I will be working with that this week. Super excited. Love the feel of the cards!
Whisper Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 I think I'd like to take up the Journey into Egypt again. :)
jema Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Ahhh, I feel at home again with my TdM. Tarot is fun and I can just relate so much more to the cards. I still want to keep using the rest of my decks though so will just pick a new each week and pair it with a TdM for comfort.
Lantana Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 Took a break for a little bit. Am back with the Shrine of the Black Medusa Tarot.
NerdyShelties Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 So I accidentally left my daily draw out on the dresser in my hotel room. I am hoping it doesn't cause any trouble with the hotel staff, you know how people get funny about Tarot. It's Thoth, so pretty and at least no Death or Devil cards. Though the Prince of Disks looks a little bit nude. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bodhiseed Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 So I accidentally left my daily draw out on the dresser in my hotel room. I am hoping it doesn't cause any trouble with the hotel staff, you know how people get funny about Tarot. It's Thoth, so pretty and at least no Death or Devil cards. Though the Prince of Disks looks a little bit nude. I bet they'll be talking about it for days, wondering what it means. ;D From the Rosetta Tarot, the Aeon (Judgment); from the Ascension to Paradise deck, the 'Spoonbill:' In December of 1914, ten buildings that were part of Thomas Edison's plant caught fire. Fueled by chemicals, the fire was too powerful to put out quickly. Edison told his son, "Go get your mother and all her friends. They'll never see a fire like this again." When he objected, Edison said, "It's all right. We've just got rid of a lot of rubbish." The phoenix of the Aeon represents the same idea: the fire of liberation gets rid of what is dead and useless to allow transformation to occur. By releasing what was tightly held, we create space for a fresh perspective. The roseate spoonbill is often described as "gorgeous at a distance and bizarre up close." It uses its flattened, spoon-shaped bill to sift through the muck in shallow water to detect prey by feel. Its message is to sift and sort, keeping only what is worthwhile. In combination with the phoenix, there is a caution not to try to instantly fill the void with more stuff (material or otherwise). Instead, we should be prudent and selective about what we put in our newly cleared space.

They are normally really stingy with the makeup remover towelettes and I had two of them. >:D
NerdyShelties Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 This doesn't look like a good day [emoji19] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Flaxen Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Those are quite tough cards, NerdyShelties. Could just be one of those days where you try and take action and nothing goes according to plan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lantana Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 Since Little Fang changed the limits of photo uploading (Thanks again! <3) I can now share my daily draws and readings here. Here’s my first daily draw with the Black Medusa, a freeform three card spread. Ace of Wands was put down first. Black Medusa is actually my first Thoth-based deck*, so I’ve been learning about the differences, like that 10 of Wands is “oppression” instead of “overwork”. That changes my inital first glance interpretation of “Idea and passion to break through an artistic block” as “Idea and passion to break through oppression”. Which makes me think of the protests happening in the US yesterday. * Still unsure if the Next World Tarot counts, it seems more like a blend of RWS and Thoth.
Trogon Posted March 15, 2018 Posted March 15, 2018 I'm glad to have been using the Shadowscapes Tarot this past week (well, my week goes from Thursday night through Monday night). As I'd mentioned elsewhere, 2018 has given me a rough start, and the Shadowscapes gave me several nice, soft reminders that things aren't always as bad as they seem and that life just has it's ups and downs. That is one thing I love about the Shadowscapes, it tends to be positive and gentle ... and sometimes this is just what we need.
NerdyShelties Posted March 16, 2018 Posted March 16, 2018 Those are quite tough cards, NerdyShelties. Could just be one of those days where you try and take action and nothing goes according to plan. Yeah, that was pretty much the day. Today looks better. :) Lantana[/member] that is a beautiful deck!
Whisper Posted March 17, 2018 Posted March 17, 2018 Didn't quite get around to doing as much with my Journey into Egypt Tarot as I wanted. Daily cards. Been wondering how I could move beyond the one card a day and if a two card a day would be better, clear enough but less time consuming than a three card a day reading... Any thoughts?
NerdyShelties Posted March 18, 2018 Posted March 18, 2018 I do 4 cards a day, it works well for me because if I don't have time I can just read the one today card, or the 1 & 2 cards, etc. IIRC it's from Benebell Wen - 1. Today 2. crossed by 3. leftover from yesterday 4. plan for tomorrow 1 3 4 2 Didn't quite get around to doing as much with my Journey into Egypt Tarot as I wanted. Daily cards.
