I have been a member of AT since 2005. I will sincerely miss the place. But I also understand that the Wheel turns and things change. It's difficult though, to be sure. This forum certainly helps soften the blow.

 

I pulled a card from the WISDOM OF THE ORACLE deck shortly after learning about the AT shutdown and the card that I pulled was "Neverending Story."

 

I think that's how I will continue to think of AT, as a story that hasn't ended yet, a story that continues to unfold.

 

Very brief intro about me:

 

I began reading Tarot in 1991 when I was 16 years old. It stuck and I've been reading ever since. I read mostly for myself but also for friends and family. I've never felt called to read professionally. I enjoy doing reading exchanges, studying decks, and talking about different approaches to Tarot. There is always something new to learn.

 

Besides my insurance day job, I am also a hobbyist writer, singer, and pianist. There are never enough hours in the day and I find myself longing for Hermione's famous time-turner.

Ah, you are also a musician. I couldn't play any music instrument, I don't have that talent  :(.

 

 

Hi Portia and welcome to TT&M! It's great to have you here! And yes, I think "Neverending Story" is an appropriate thought on the Aeclectic Tarot Forums! It will continue to be a part of everyone of us who ever popped in there, just as we are all a part of something larger.

 

Well, I'm not much of an accomplished musician, but I do love to play my harmonica (well, harmoncas, as I have a few different ones). I also dabble with the Native Flute. :D
