NerdyShelties Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I think I'll do Jolanda tarot this week - probably bring my pocket Thoth along as backup in case I'm too puzzled by Jolanda.
Trogon Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 I am going to spend another week with Marchetti's Tarot of Dreams. As I mentioned in last weeks thread (well, at the end of it), it is similar enough to the RWS that I don't have to struggle, but different enough that it's adding new looks at the cards. Loving it. Trogon - Tarot of Dreams.

Rose Lalonde Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 Rose Lalonde - Tabula Mundi -- Thanks, VG! It's not new to me... but the MINI edition is. <3 What is it about a mini deck? I have the app for travel. And I can see the art better in full size. But there's something about little cards coming with me on the go. And I read with TM all the time. Nice to be back! NerdyShelties, the Jolanda reminds me of the art from my childhood, in a good way. I know it looks more serious on the grey with muted tones, but I have the purple ed. and find it's hard for me not to read it as somewhat cheerful and nostalgic, also in a good way, if that's what I'm looking for at the time. Hope you enjoy your week!
RavenOfSummer Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 I'm having trouble deciding! But I think I'm going to stick with the Goddess, add the Tarot of Trees, and try again to work with the Shamanic Healing Oracle since I failed at that last week. Thanks VG! RavenOfSummer - Goddess Tarot, Tarot of Trees, Shamanic Healing Oracle
Madame Squee Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 Wicca Moon Tarot and STS Lenormand, please. Thank you for the thread! <3
EmpyreanKnight Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 It's the Tarot of Shadows + the Thoth for me this week.
jema Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 Trying another set of fairies this week. Fairy Lights tarot + Rhenan TdM again
Bodhiseed Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 I'm in with the Sheridan-Douglas Tarot paired with the Pages of Shustah deck. Thanks for keeping us rolling, VG! <3 Goodness, I can't believe March is almost over!
VGimlet Posted March 25, 2018 Author Posted March 25, 2018 You are all very welcome! I got the thread set up, and then got side-tracked (ooh, shiny!) In for my last week with the Druid Craft, which I have enjoyed using.
Bodhiseed Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 This week I'll be using the Sheridan-Douglas Tarot, created by David Sheridan and Alfred Douglas and published by Sheridan Douglas Press. The oracle deck I'll be using is Pages of Shustah, created by Ann Manser and Cecil North and published by Shustah Inc. Today's draws are the King of Cups and 'Harmonizing Page:' How is it that this King can look so happy when he has to deal with a variety of emotional drama that could rival the jumbo Crayola box? He knows how to detach, but not in a way that shuts down his heart. While he keeps his heart tender and compassionate, he detaches from clinging (preferences) and aversion (prejudices). He listens objectively and with openness, which allows him to see with clarity and offer kind-hearted judgment respectful of both parties. The Harmonizing Page recognizes differences but is able to blend them in a way that is healing rather than abrupt and disconcerting. Harmonizing isn't simply singing a predetermined part but is determined by listening to the other parts and determining on your own which notes to sing. It has nothing to do with being the center of attention, and everything to do with adding one's voice to make the song more interesting and beautiful. And perhaps that is what this King is trying to teach: unity in diversity. We don't have to all be alike to get along, but it will require deep listening and openness.
Whisper Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Art of Life for me with maybe the Vintage Wisdom Oracle. Second time trying to work both together. Would love some suggestions on how to add the oracle to the tarot reading. Thank you, my dears. <3

Would love some suggestions on how to add the oracle to the tarot reading. Thank you, my dears. <3 Shivani, there's a spread I like from AT by sinner called all purpose outcome spread. (I love that I choose which one of the paths in the spread I want to go with.) I've found it easy to use 2 decks with it, so you might like it. One deck for the odd numbered positions, all of which are descriptive of the situation (or possible situation). And the 2nd deck for even numbered positions, all of which are active cards about what to do. I'm inclined to go with tarot for odd and oracle for even, but it depends on the specific decks.
Flaxen Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I’m in this week with the Weavers’ Oracle and the Trionfi Della Luna (again!). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Page of Ghosts Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 I've been a little slow to sign up this week, heh! The Circo is my deck of choice. I've changed to doing weekly spreads for now and I really like it! Only thing is I'm not always the most diligent with recording them in my journal >:D I might pull some Faeries too but they don't need to be signed up. 26 - Oh! That Gnome was my card for a little inspiration today. That Gnome might be the one who has showed up the most so far. Page of Ghosts - The Circo Tarot
CharlotteK Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 I'm very late signing up! I am pairing the Ancient Egyptian with Thot and using a situational blueprint spread that Barleywine devised. I've drawn 7 cards from Thoth, one for each day, to provide contextual situation information. Then each day I am drawing a card from the AE as more of an 'action' card. Here is how it's looking so far. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Maybe I'll try again next week.

Would love some suggestions on how to add the oracle to the tarot reading. Thank you, my dears. <3 I'm of the philosophy to 'go deeper, not wider.' ;D I tend to draw a single tarot card and reflect on its meaning, then add an oracle card. The oracle card can add information or clarify meaning based on the foundation of the tarot card (my blog has years of examples). I know only using two cards doesn't seem very exciting, but it works for me!

I know only using two cards don't seem very exciting, but it works for me! On the contrary. You know what, Bodhiseed, I feel like you. For some reason, I am seldom comfortable with spreads with a lot of cards. I've been experimenting with them, and I find I like the single card draw, two cards, even three, perhaps, a lot more. Only, if further clarification is required, will I draw one or two more cards. I will endeavour to find your blog. Really interested. Can you point me to it, please? Thank you.
