If you want to see a subforum added, or need one for a group you have, post here and I will give it consideration!  Know that I can't add every little thing as a subforum, but I'll do my best to set up or help you find the right place.  8)

Last night I had an idea - I'd love to host a Tarot Spread Study Group and I thought it would be a great fit here if you are interested.

I wouldn't want it to be overly academic in nature, just cozy and fun. I'd probably call it the Tarot Spread Club.

I think it would great as a subforum of Tarot Spreads or I could post these type of spreads drectly into Tarot Spreads forum if you're game. (I thought about the Deck Studies forum too.)

As the host, I'd post weekly or monthly (depending upon interest) with a spread. The spreads would be either from my own collection or someone else's and they could be used with tarot and/or oracle decks. I'd probably aim for fun, creative and theme spreads.

Those participating could share the deck they'd want to use with the spread, post links to their readings if they want, share similar spreads or their twists on the spread, etc. We could also discuss themes and share spreads that fit that theme  (for example, Halloween.)

I like Glass Owl's idea on this. I'd second the motion for a separate forum.

How about a tarot media section?

This is where you can post about books, videos, podcasts you find interesting.

Added under Talking Tarot!  Let me know if that is a good place for it!

Little Fang, would it be alright to have a sub forum under Divination for I Ching, so that things like group practice readings, discussion about how people draw, whether they read with I Ching decks too, etc, could be in one place without it being specifically a study group? --- Basically what Lenormand has.

(And as for exchanges... When I posted an I Ching exchange thread earlier, I put it in Oracle Exchanges, because I incorporated the Holitzka I Ching deck images in the readings. But I don't always include cards. If you do create a sub forum in Divination, I think I'll only post I Ching exchanges under Divination >> Other Exchanges, regardless of whether I include cards, if that's alright. It's probably where I should have posted to begin with.  :-[ )

Thanks for all your work on this forum! I've been happy here since the big move. :)

Rose Lalonde[/member] done!  :-*

Thank you!

Quiet so far, but maybe "If you build subforum it, they will come." ;)

I don't know how best to handle this BUT - could we have a sort of admin forum for exchange hosts ? It shouldn't clutter other areas - but it would be really neat to have a single thread for (in my case) ISG where we hosts could post schedules, check who is AFK this month and so on. Trying to do it in reading threads/circles means such posts vanish, and it is really irritating to have to PM everyone every month to see who's up next etc. Not to mention it means one person ends up being The Responsible One - and none of us wants that, i think.

Could we have an additional "Other" section in Spirituality?

I've just posted my 'Your Altar' in the Prayers section - but I think that doesn't quite fit for me

:)

I'd like an area where I may also chat about my Pagan practice - which includes the Altar see?... ??

I'll consider where I can fit something that matches, but it fits best in the Spirituality main section.  :-*

Yes, a "Get It While It's Hot" sub category in Reading Exchanges! What I mean is something for quick readings. If we could get something like this, that would be great... thank you for considering this request! ~

Nah, I don't want this forum to become like the last one I left!  ;)

Holmes are you referring to the Tarot Addiction thread?

HOLMES - Did AT really have a thread like that?  It kind of seems familiar, but it is not something I ever looked at when I was on there. Wow![/size]

I am not HOLMES, but yes AT had a de-enabling thread and it was great!  Helped me not buy a few decks.  It is the type of thread that was most helpful to people who just love buying decks, so a lot lighter than the topic of real addiction, but great for the over-shopper.

I can't give you an entire section but anyone who wants to start a thread is fine.  A De-Enable thread or however AT did it.

I appreciate the initiative as I can tell that it comes from a place of kindness. But I think that this could easily cross the line and go in a direction where people are bordering of giving medical advice. It is tricky!

The de-enabling thread was more like, ok I have too many decks but omg TWU looks awesome please convince me not to buy it.

Nothing medical. :)

Oh yes, I remember that thread vividly. I did not understand that this is what was suggested here  :)

Can you please add a subforum for active tarot exchanges?

They used to be in a sub forum under tarot and readings for yourself in another. It looks like they’re no longer separate, which makes it hard to find the active exchange threads.
