Whisper Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Would love your opinions about The Grand Luxe Tarot. Thank you. [emoji4]
Whisper Posted April 7, 2018 Author Posted April 7, 2018 I.Love.It. What else did you wish to know ? :) That pretty much sums in up, gregory[/member] . If it's good enough for you, it's good enough for me. I, too, think it's stunning and find the faces more realistically rendered than any previous cards of his. I'm going to be a pain and ask you what is it that you really love about this deck. Also, oversized cards? Not really?
Quester Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 I LOVE this deck!! The card stock is great and even though the cards are large I think they will be easy to work with. The inhabitants of most cards look right at you!!! Haven't read with it yet as it just arrived, but I think it will be an excellent talker.

MollyCat Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 I followed Ciro on Facebook whilst he was making this deck. Participating as an observer was fantastic and I came to like this deck more than of any of his others. The deck is very beautiful and definitely is 'grand luxe'. Some of the cards are stand-outs. I like the Empress and Temperance especially but every image is well thought and beautifully rendered. I'd wouldn't mind owning the deck but, in reality, it is probably too grand for me to read with comfortably. That says more about me than Ciro. The images are beautiful but stylized and a little unreal to me because of that. There are other tarot decks that are highly stylized too and I have similar reservations about them. There is one in particular that I purchased years ago and gave away because of that. Can't remember the name of it now and I sometimes regret not giving it more time but the gift recipient loved it! This deck would be a MUST for a collector. For me, though, it is a matter of taste, preference and personal reasons for owning and using decks.
Quester Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Nice to see you too Shivani!! The cards are 3.25x5.25. Large, but not too large.
gregory Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 What quester said. Passing through just now, more when I get home.

VGimlet Posted May 27, 2018 Posted May 27, 2018 mrghhhhh, I thought I pre-ordered this deck. I certainly made an o.o. note by the title on my wanted list. :( Since it seems to have shipped I guess I didn't! And last years journal, where it was originally listed is currently buried in a box thanks to The Great Water Leak in that end of the house. (Did it leak in the other bedroom, filled with things that could be discarded? NO, it leaked into the geust-room/library where all MY stuff is. Luckily the bookshelves protected the books, but they are toast....)

Asher Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Sadly, during my year-long hiatus from tarot (which included a fall resulting in a broken thumb and shoulder), I missed out on this one :( I emailed Ciro, but too late, it had sold out. But he told me that it will be published by US Games in the spring of 2019, so I will be able to get it! Just not in a Ciro-produced limited edition... Until then, I am content with the Fool’s Dog app of the Grand Luxe. So gorgeous!

This is another deck I will look forward to in the coming year then!
