Raggydoll Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Ok, so I bought this deck pre-loved and I know nothing about it. The box has no information regarding manufacturer. The deck has 80 cards, and it has a historical style to it. Every card has titles in four languages, but I must admit that I am not 100% sure which languages they are (although I am perfectly able to discern which card is which anyhow). Some of the cards have a banner with some words on them, I will add pictures of that as well. So, please, any information you guys can give me (about anything really!) is welcome! I am thinking that this is a mass produced deck and that it perhaps is slavic? The images are really lovely and quite interesting. And I really like the artistic style. The first two pics are of the box and the back of the cards
Raggydoll Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 Here are some of the majors. I know that these pictures are not the best, I struggled with lighting and had to resize them as well :-\
Raggydoll Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 Here are some wands. Its definitely a pip-styled deck. But I am really loving the court cards. Many of them look female, even some of the 'kings'
Raggydoll Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 Here is a close up of the text-banner, plus a picture of the two extra cards. It looks like it says "abm drove" on most cards, except for some of the cups cards, where it seems to say "amor mve". So, obviously this is not any language I recognise. Do any of you guys know what it means?
Flaxen Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I don’t know what this exact deck is, but it looks like a version of the Visconti. It’s very beautiful! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Raggydoll Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 Thank you flaxen! I'll try to add some more (better) pics
Raggydoll Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 Hopefully you can tell the languages better here!
Flaxen Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Two of the languages are Polish and Czech.... Edited to add another is Hungarian. Definitely a deck produced for the Eastern European market. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Raggydoll Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 Flaxen: Thank you so much <3 I have never worked with Visconti-sforza decks in the past so this is going to be interesting!
Flaxen Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 You’re welcome - I like a good mystery. [emoji16] Hopefully, someone can come along and actually name the deck...(so I can rush out and buy it). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

gregory Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I like the way it was modelled on Visconti Sforza's WAIST....
Raggydoll Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 I like the way it was modelled on Visconti Sforza's WAIST.... Yeah, I saw that too ;D I’m guessing that’s why I find these cards so perfectly sized :))
gregory Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I want it. I have mentioned this to my Eastern European contact :)
Flaxen Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I want it. I have mentioned this to my Eastern European contact :) If they’d like a bulk order....[emoji16]
Raggydoll Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 It looks like a store in my country has it, but it is labeled as back order so it’s not certain that they will be able to get it from their supplier. However, it is very inexpensive so I’m gonna take a chance and place an order. Wouldn’t mind a back up copy in case I feel like trimming those multi title borders. So we shall see if they cancel my order or not, and if I managed to order the right thing ^-^ I will keep you guys updated! Ps. Just ordered two copies. Fingers crossed it’s the right thing and they are able to deliver, but it had 2-4 weeks estimated delivery time so we might have to wait some time to find out
Raggydoll Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 If it works, you can get me one :) Maybe :). We will just have to wait and see, and if it works, we’ll talk 8)
Celice Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Ooh I love this what a beautiful find. If anyone ever finds a source for a group order I would be interested
Morsoth Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I was also looking for that deck (I created a new thread not knowing this one existed for the same deck!) I could find some more info here (mainly screen captures) : https://tarotrengeteg.blogspot.ca/2016/11/tarot-jan-witold-suliga.html?m=0
CharlotteK Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Seems to be one going here for about £7.50 from a Polish site - https://bit.ly/2HBB8NQ Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
gregory Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I would love to buy it - and did everything up to enter details - but it WILL not accept my UK phone number and I'm stuck. Help, someone ? Yes I tried with and without the +44, 44 and with and without the 0...
Saturn Celeste Posted May 11, 2018 Posted May 11, 2018 I love the watercolor splashes on the cards. To me the color splashes are what make this deck so special, without it, it would be a nice historical deck.
