Original Gilded Tarot by Ciro Marcietti

This looks like a magical deck. I want it. However the reviews say the printing wears easily and is thin, slick and small. They say there was an original, larger, better quality deck printed and you can get it on Ciro's site or somewhere else. I can't find it. I was on his site and looked everywhere.  I would rather pay more for the larger, better quality original deck but don't know where to find it. Anyone know?

I believe you are referring to the Tarot Royale. This was a complete reworking of the original Gilded. It was a larger size and on sturdier card stock. However it was a relatively low run self published edition, which sold out some years ago.

Thank you. That must be the one. I may try to find a copy. Is the box orange by any chance? I found a deck on ebay starting at $11.95 published in 2004 but one knows how that can end up. I appreciate the info. The clarity of the images and the colors are an instant fit for my intuition.

Actually, I think the original Gilded, limited edition was a nice thick deck. I have one, but I am thinking of passing it on. Or maybe I already did. Hmmm. I have to look.
