Nivian Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Does anyone have a Hanson Roberts deck from the 80's? I'm having trouble with the stiffness of the new deck and was wondering if I should purchase a 1985 deck I found on Ebay. Is it easier to bend?
Delizt Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 the older ones printed in Belgium had lovely cardstock, it shuffled well and wasn't stiff. Mine's been well used, but I don't ever recall a problem with stiffness with any of the older US Games decks.
Nivian Posted May 24, 2018 Author Posted May 24, 2018 Thanks Del...think I'll just keep a shuffling my deck...but you know...it came with a broken box and when I just asked it what kind of energy it had for me I got the three of swords reversed. Not a pleasant card. But the pain is fading. I didn't quite get on with this deck in the beginning but I love using it for one card draws. It is so honest. In fact, I'm thinking the older decks carry more magick. Just my opinion and we all know who has those. lol.
Nivian Posted May 24, 2018 Author Posted May 24, 2018 My father, the Emperor, decided to leave his will at the control of my psychotic, alcoholic sister, and my kind brother. I got very angry today and slashed the Emperor's face on this Hanson deck. Also the King of Pentacles. My father was a rich man but he hated me because I was overly sensitive. He was diagnosed Narcissist personality disorder and put on meds in his 80's after fathering two more children. Needless to say I have colored the Emperor's hair black, as was my fathers and put a band-aid on the K of P since their are probably many nice K of P's. Anyway, this deck is now mine, in blood and sorrow, pain and joy.
