DoNotDelete Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Over the last few weeks i have been looking at different printing companies that can help me create a Tarot book and deck, i've been compiling all of my short stories on my blog and creating a large size colouring book and card set. The print services i'm using gives the author the option to design and upload their artwork or you can choose from a number of book cover Templates, the process of uploading the PDF files is quite straight-forward. I'm currently using two Book printing services to see which one gives me the best results, both printing companies give you a free IBSN Code so your able to sell your product in their shop store, i wanted to ask what's been your experience with creating your own self-published books and decks.
reall Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 oh! I like this topic! have few books in store to publish!:) will post more when it's out!:)
reall Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 oh! I like that blurb!^^ 8x11in is standard so it large as it ned to be!^^;) will be watching your blog for news & updates!:)
Pen Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 I've published tarot guide books for my 3 decks using Amazon's Createspace and been very pleased with the results. One of the best things about the process is that images are uploaded in RGB colour, and whatever miracle app they use to convert to CMYK before printing, the colours in the printed book are excellent.
Guest KnightsQuest Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Hi pen At the moment i'm awaiting my proofs from CreateSpace what i like most about their printing service it takes you through each step, but i've noticed they don't offer Tarot card templates to make a book set which is a shame.

BlueToy Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) now also offers printing paperbacks (as opposed to just ebooks). I wonder how it compares with CreateSpace, given that both are under Amazon. I do like the option to get an ISBN. I do wish there was a way to do this too with tarot decks. -Ly

reall Posted July 23, 2018 Posted July 23, 2018 Thanks Irena, :) np! always happy hearing about new pod!:) BlueToy[/member] hopefully they will remember to add cards one day!:)
Pen Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Hi pen At the moment i'm awaiting my proofs from CreateSpace what i like most about their printing service it takes you through each step, but i've noticed they don't offer Tarot card templates to make a book set which is a shame. I did suggest they offered a card printing service on a survey they asked me to complete after the books were published, but as yet there's no sign of cards, either with or without a book. I think they will come eventually though - Amazon like to be players in so many markets I can't see them dismissing the idea without serious consideration.
