I was actually about to come on here and make a post it about it myself. I already pledged for an early bird deck, and I'm very excited for it. You can see progress and artwork through the artist's tumblr page (http://childrenoflithatarot.tumblr.com). It looks as though it would make a lovely aesthetic and thematic companion for the Ostara tarot.

She recently announced stretch goals as incentive. There's an opportunity to get stickers, pins, and (what I'm most excited for) tarot cloths. I'm surprised she still isn't funded, since I thought for sure this deck would be a hit. It's getting close though, so hopefully we'll be seeing those stretch goals.

I went on Kickstarter to back the Majestic Earth Tarot and saw this!  I had to back this one also.  :P Looks pretty amazing.

I just wanted to say, there's only less than 7 hours left of the Kickstarter and ALL the stretch goals have been reached, but this deck is really exceptional and the artist is so sweet and talented, so if there's anyone who was on the fence about it (or perhaps hadn't seen it yet), it is definitely well worth checking out! One thing I wanted to point out, was just how amazingly diverse the deck is, there's so much representation of POC and is a great LGBTQ+ deck, as well. The Lovers card is here:

 

 

and was described by the artist as "The figures are each made to be at once androgynous- so that you can project whichever sex you want- while still both expressing traits of the masculine and feminine energies - which can exist in anyone regardless of their sex." I really enjoy seeing that unique representation for a card like the Lovers and adds so much depth and meaning for so many people who may not feel that they are represented in most Tarot decks. For me, personally, I can see how it may be a man and a woman, or two women, or two men, and I really hope to be able to use this deck for readings for others and have them feel a stronger connection to the card than they may otherwise feel with traditional Tarot imagery.

 

Anyway, I am beyond myself excited for this deck and I really feel it could become one of my all time favorites!

I backed it the second I saw it, but gods, I just can't stop swooning. As if the art wasn't gorgeous enough, it's queer as well! I'm pretty sure this is going to be one of my favourites too :)

Me too! The second I saw it I was like yes, yes, yes, and backed for two decks just to be on the safe side. I should have mentioned the comment was from a post on their Instagram after someone had asked if the two depicted were men and how they were so excited about the deck. It was really beautiful, I hope the artist chooses to include such details in the guidebook. I'm also hoping they may one day release a full art book, I'd love to see the art in even more detail.

 

I have some amazing decks backed on Kickstarter before, but none I have been as excited for as this one. I just don't know how I'll be able to wait!
