VGimlet Posted June 30, 2018 Author Posted June 30, 2018 I am in with a weird and interesting deck, VGimlet - Sickly Tarot Not sure how it will be to read with - but it's intriguing. Sorry I was a little slow last week in keeping up - busy week, and lots going on. Nothing BAD just...lots...
Queen of Nothing Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 I want to participate this week with my Marigold tarot. I fell into a slump recently, so I hope this keeps me accountable while I try to get back into reading. Queen of Nothing - The Marigold Tarot
EmpyreanKnight Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 It's the Williams Minchiate for me. Thanks VG!
Bodhiseed Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 I'm in this week with the Bonefire Tarot paired with the Day of the Dead Lenormand. We appreciate you VGimlet!
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Tarocco Piemontese, a gift from Debra, I miss so many people from AT We always appreciate our thread VG, and if you weren't busy you'd be looking for something to do :)
Page of Ghosts Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 I'm in with the Sasuraibito and Enchanted Tarot that I hope will arrive any day now. Page of Ghosts - Sasuraibito Tarot & Enchanted Tarot
Bookworm Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 I'm joining in very late. I'll be using Tarot of the Crone.
Katie Posted July 2, 2018 Posted July 2, 2018 I'm in! Deck: Fin de Siècle Kipper! I'm experimenting doing 3 card spreads in a tarot way but also relate the cards to each other (right..left...) as said in the LWB. Katie
Bodhiseed Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 From the Bonefire Tarot, the Five of Wands; from the Day of the Dead Lenormand, the 'Woman:' The Five of Wands is about competitive squabbling in which people have different ideas about how things should be done. Notice the conkers (a children's toy) in the middle of the drawing; this debate is not meant to be taken personally. It is simply a way to see the strong and weak sides of each argument. When disagreements make us feel we are being criticized or attacked (rather than our view), it's time to remember the words of Elizabeth Thornton: "If we are honest with ourselves, we have to admit that sometimes our assumptions and preconceived notions are wrong, and therefore, our interpretation of events is incorrect. This causes us to overreact, to take things personally, or to judge people unfairly." The Woman from the Lenormand deck represents the feminine archetype - receptive rather than closed-minded, inclusive rather than exclusive, and cooperative rather than aggressive. What a difference her mindset can make in any heated discussion, especially since she would plow calmly ahead and refuse to escalate any heated argument.
VGimlet Posted July 4, 2018 Author Posted July 4, 2018 Sickly Tarot....it's so interesting. Strange (the figures kind of remind me of spy vs. spy run amok) but I'm finding myself very intrigued, even though the system is more like tarot +, Purists would say it's not a tarot deck, I think. I'm considering an in-depth study like I did many moons ago with the "big three". I studied one card a day and immersed myself in the system, and this deck might almost be worth doing that again. Have to think about it....
EmpyreanKnight Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 from the Day of the Dead Lenormand, the 'Woman:' I like this deck a lot. I think it would be a perfect fit for the Santa Muerte. :)
Bodhiseed Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 from the Day of the Dead Lenormand, the 'Woman:' I like this deck a lot. I think it would be a perfect fit for the Santa Muerte. :) It would! :D U.S. Games published Edmund's 'Pixie's Astounding Lenormand' (originally self-published). I wish they would do the same for this one. https://delphischamber.com/
