Hi everyone. I am traveling to Mexico in a few weeks and suddenly realised its a good place to get Mayan/Aztec cards.  ;)

I know of the "Mayan Tarot" deck but I'd love to know if anyone knows of a traditional style deck I could get in the Yucatan area.

For me, Rider-Waite is what I call traditional as many modern decks are based on the images and interpretations of those images.

So what I'd like is the Mexican version of a traditional deck, one which modern decks are based on.

Any advise from you lovely, worldly tarot lovers?

I know we have some members here from Mexico, I hope they can steer you in the direction of a shop on Yucatan with Spanish language R-W decks.  Cool souvenir.

Yes I am hoping someone from Mexico jumps in.

Does anyone know anything about Xultun Tarot?

Thanks Pathwalker, for the suggestion of the Loteria cards. I've had a look online and I love them. Definitely going to get some if I see them anywhere.

For the Maya style I'm liking the Xultun deck, and I like the back story on the artist for them and the way the majors form a complete picture when placed together. Fingers crossed I can find them in Merida or Tulum.
