Yes I definitely will !

I got this deck a while back, but still have trouble understanding it so don't read with it that much.

This will be a great way for me to engage with it more  :D

I remember Trogon liking the Ceccoli a lot. He might get interested in this once he returns.

Looking at the cards can be quite enabling tho.

I made a scrapbook out of this deck...with a page for each card. I love this deck. Would like to play along with you guys too.

Individually I like the pictures.  But it's one of those decks where the art is slapped on the card, there often is no relevance to the card meaning at all.  The deck frustrates me! lol  But when I do read with it, the sitters have really liked the deck.  One of them adopted the Moon card for an avatar for quite some time.  I have the oracle too which I actually like using better than the tarot, oracles meanings can be anything! lol

I haven't heard from most of the members that have previously posted on this thread.  At this point I won't be doing it but if you would like to form a study group, let me know!  ^-^

Newbie here, so I'm not sure how a study group works, and I won't have my deck until next week, but I would love to buddy up with others to learn more about it. It's only the 3rd deck I've bought, I just loved the artwork so much.

Maybe we can start by pulling a card and sharing initial impressions for feedback/discussion?

I think it would also be cool to do mirror draws, laying out the mirror draw with traditional Rider-Waite for comparison. I found that way the easiest way for me to learn the Linestrider Tarot, at least.

Sounds good!  We do it card by card so when you get your deck, I can start the thread and I'll do it with you!  I know more people will stop by once it gets going.

OOoh, I'll join in where I can! I have the miniature version, and it's so pretty and I love the style, but it's definitely a deck that will take some studying to read with.

Well, I've been spending some time getting to know this deck, and now I know what Saturn Celeste[/member] meant by the art on the card not necessarily corresponding, lol. I have to rely on the little pamphlet that came with to understand why certain elements are in there. It seems to me, the creator's interpretation of certain cards is rather different from my usual interpretations in the Rider-Waite tradition.

I would love to start studying this deck with someone. I still don't feel comfortable doing remote readings on this forum, and don't quite get all the different exchanges, so if anyone wants to join me here, would love some company.

i like this seck a lot

maybe the study could start with explaining the origins: does anyone know if the images were created specifically for tarot purposes ? (or the oracle, now i know of its existence thanks to saturn :)) )

cuz i heard somewhere that it wasnt ??? that the art was already made and then it was put together into a deck

This deck utilises pre-existing artworks by Ceccoli, that have been recast sometimes rather forcibly, as tarot cards. Some of the image choices are very clear, especially for the Major Arcana and suit of Swords. Other choices remain fairly obscure until you match the little white book (LWB) description to the picture.

That comes from the first review on the Aeclectic site's page for the Ceccoli. http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/ceccoli-tarot/

A friend of mine has this one, and calls it "the doll collector's tarot". I have this one and the Beautiful Creatures Tarot, and yes, they are both a doll collector's dream! I haven't worked a ton with either yet, but am looking forward to more study.

Is this study group still on-going?

Are we able to post threads with the cards?

Oh absolutely! I just haven't had the time and energy to post anymore images, but would love to still participate.

Hi, I'll be joining this group, and hopefully it will become more active over time.  This deck is one of my top favorites and current most used decks.  I have an older version of the mini, the one without the red color lock at the top of the box.  My mini cards are really hazy and the colors are quite dull, as well as it seems to be a little blurry.  I know that the art is supposed to give that hazy feel, but after seeing some YouTube videos with this deck (just the full size I think) I now see that they shouldn't be blurry and the colors should be a bit more defined.  So I ordered the full size deck and should have it shortly.  I'm hoping the details will be easier to see.

One thing I just noticed the other day after really looking through the cards, is that there is no one smiling in the whole deck unless you count the Devil.  There is one card where the girl has like a smirk, or a slightly less deadpan expression but I forgot which card it was.  I love that all the people figures are women/girls.  I kind of feel like the art in this deck speaks to my soul, yet I am having a little trouble resonating with the meanings of the cards.  I hope the bigger deck fixes that

I'm s happy to have a place to talk about this deck and I will be posting some of my daily readings here in the near future!

Edit, I have not received my full size deck yet, I ordered from Llewellyn and apparently it hasn't even shipped yet. 🥴

Hi @Aeona it's great to add to the Nicoletta Ceccoli study group here 🙂

If you want to post daily readings, you need to post them in a journal. Start a journal in the journal section here. You are welcome to post any of your own personal readings there and insights and whatever you like, it has a personal blog type atmosphere in that area.

In the study group here you are welcome to start threads discussing parts of the deck or anything you have found whilst doing your readings. Also like AT, you can start a thread in this subgroup section for each card. There are 2 cards started already and you are welcome to add your insights to those threads and also start your own threads for others. When there are some more cards done, we can make an index of the card threads and also any discussion threads. So do please keep adding what you discover and any card insights you have in this area

Ok thank you!  I feel like I'm stumbling around in here a little bit, I'm grateful for the help in figuring it all out.
