vanilla Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Hi everyone I have always doubt the meaning of these 2 cards... I don't really understand their purpose. I mean, lets say my question is if a boy likes me, and Lady is in the spread. Does that represent me? Is the spread telling me Im there? Whats the purpose on that? I already know that Im there... I know its all about context but I feel like these 2, 90% of the time, are useless. Can someone change my mind? Another example... if I ask will I pass an exam...and Man pops up? Whats the purpose?
DownUnderNZer Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 vanilla Not here to change your mind... Depends on how you have learned it and what system (I suppose) and how you ask a question or not. For example, if the SNAKE were to come up more so than the WOMAN card, German system, then that would be looked upon as a "rival" or even the BOUQUET (German)- a younger female energy or female over the age of 13 etc. Do you use key/focus cards or not? Do just generals? What card (most) comes up next to the WOMAN or MAN can influence that card as well: If the LILY came up next to the WOMAN - an older woman or one that has been around the block. Are you older? If the BEAR came up next to WOMAN - maybe on the hefty side and it could be a family member (Mother) or someone motherly. Are you on the voluptuous side? Motherly? If the BOUQUET came up next to WOMAN (French system) - someone that is like a model, takes great photos and has a great smile. Young and attractive. If the STORKS came up next to WOMAN - someone leggy and dresses smartly. WHERE A CARD LIES CAN HAVE BEARING... RIDER before the WOMAN or MAN - already known and met. RIDER after the WOMAN or MAN - New person coming. And it goes on and on and on...... An easy way to get around it might be to have the MAN be the MALE in question and the WOMAN be you. If there is a third wheel or another on the wings - it will come up in other cards. E.g. Crossroads or Dog. If the guy is not ready to settle or playing the field something like GARDEN+RING would come up or CROSSROADS next to MAN etc. It comes down to all the cards and what is next to what and...the last card always has the last bit of input. These two cards are not useless at all. NOTE: MAN can be looked at as being MASCULINE TRAITS as well and the same goes for WOMAN. EXAMPLE: How should I tackle the next meeting with my Alpha male boss? MAN+Sun+FOX (Work)+Clover+Lily ANSWER: Try a masculine approach like being logical, down the line, assertive, skeptical... Whatever is considered MASCULINE compared to FEMININE. DND :) Hi everyone I have always doubt the meaning of these 2 cards... I don't really understand their purpose.
