Fall Decks

I am using the Bohemian Gothic this month and I am really loving it.

Reviving this thread for Fall 2020! With some long anticipated decks arriving (*cough*Bonestone*cough*) and some interesting new dark decks being released this year, like the Murder of Crows Tarot, the Dark Wood Tarot, and the Terror Tarot, plus all the old favorites, I'm interested to know from those who do work with decks seasonally, what decks are you working with for this autumn season?

I've been working with the Badgers Forest Tarot since a couple of weeks before Mabon/Autumn Equinox. That deck always gives me an autumnal energy and I start reaching for it when the weather starts getting cooler, which happened here a little earlier than usual.

I just started working with the Dracula Tarot by Vicky Vladic. This is a somewhat obscure indie that is very much based on the story and characters of the book by Bram Stoker. I reread the book earlier this year and I think the creator did a brilliant job of working with the material in the book and translating it to tarot.

My Bonestone has arrived!!! For me it has a very deep magical and witchy vibe, and I'm excited to dive into it as the veil thins.

I also just got the newly released Dark Wood Tarot by Sasha Graham from Llewellyn. A very spooky, creepy, gothic vibe for Halloween which I'm excited for.

I want to work with my Marigold Tarot which conceptually deals very much with death. I love the art for this deck but I've sadly had trouble connecting with it for readings, but I want to give it another try this fall and see how it goes.

For oracle decks, I've got both my Halloween Oracle and my Seasons of the Witch: Samhain Oracle, both of which I love. The Halloween Oracle is one of the first oracles I ever got, and I'm still amazed how deep it goes in readings even as it's also a fun deck. The Samhain Oracle stays close to the themes of the thinning veil and the time of darkness. I have the indie edition from a couple of years ago, but a mass market was just released by Rockpool Publishing.

I also have my witchy Earthly Souls & Spirits Oracle. And I work with my Moon Phases Oracle (sadly OOP) all year long, but I do love its energy for autumn.

So those are the decks I'm planning on working with this season- obviously I'll be busy! I love both the sacred celebration of Samhain and the secular celebration of Halloween, and of course more broadly working the changing of the seasons and the death of the year, and I feel like I have a good balance of those different energies in my collection, especially with the addition of the Dark Wood.

I would love to know what decks you are working with this fall!

I just ordered The Wild Unknown deck, but after going through all yours I now want at least the Earthly Souls & Sprits Oracle!

This is my favorite time of year.

Earthly Souls & Spirits is a lovely deck! 💖 And I don't have the Wild Unknown but I have heard people mention that one as having an autumn vibe 😊 Happy fall!

Reviving this thread again to see what decks people are using this fall season and especially for the months of October and November.

I have the Green Witch Tarot - still sealed, the Dark Mansion Tarot, and the Santa Muerte Lo Scarabeo deck. I also have the 5¢ Tarot which is carnival like, IMO. The Black Cats - kind of stretching it to fit here, but works. I am not into the gruesome, horror, or shocking kind of decks or ones that are intentionally mean or hurting others. I'm a Cancer child - nurturing is in every area of my existence. 😊

Do you change out your decks for the season?

What decks do you use in the fall?
