Patchwork deck - help needed to complete :)

Recommended Posts

Folks who know me from my time on AT will know I have a thing for decks created using cards from 78 different decks. It seemed a logical spin-off from a project that took place on AT, and something to do with the odd cards you sometimes end up with.

Now I've go the bug, and am in the last stages of creating my third Patchwork deck - this one called "The MapHouse Tarot (long story).

Now I'm on the last leg - I need just 2 more cards!

I'm seeking Six of Wands and Six of Cups - but both from decks I don't yet an example of.

(Does that make sense?) Huge thanks to all the folk who have already helped with this.

I will post a list of which decks I ALREADY HAVE - so I'm seeking cards from other decks. Can you help?

I'm happy to pay P&P to me here in UK

I also have lots of spare cards from various decks for folks who might like to start their own patchwork decks. . . .

this is an old thread, Pathwalker are you still looking for these two sixes?

Posted

I am still seeking a 6 of Wands - I had one promised from the Templar Tarot but sadly it didn't make it through the post.

Do you have anything that could help? Were you seeking something in particular?

Thanks for asking

That 6 of Roses looks brilliant - but I don't think I have any Moon cards. I have another tarot friend who collected Moons - but I will check and see  :)

Watch this space LOL

And thank you

Good morning :)

I have Moon from Dream Enchantress Tarot, and the yellow backed Mind,Body & Spirit deck (magazine parts, are you familiar with it?)

Also the Osho Zen card with the Moon shining on a woman's forehead - card XVII 'Silence' if you'd like that too?

Let me know what you think, I am in UK - you're USA I think?

hey, that would be great! I wasn't expecting anything in return.

We've traded once before on your first frankendeck I think.

You need the 6 of Roses, and the Black Turtle, correct?

Because they are unusual cards, did you google to be sure of your suits?

JUST the 6 of Roses please - I see the keyword reads as "Victory" so I'm happy with that as being Wands for me  :)

That will be the last card I need, so thank you very much.

I'll be PM-ing you

Best wishes

And at last - The MapHouse Tarot is finished!

With many thanks to AJ for that last card - and profound thanks as always to everyone who has helped make this deck - I appreciate every single card, thank you so much.

I have quite a pile of cards from various decks, so if anyone is doing a similar project do get in touch in case I've something that will help  :)

Here are shots of the completed (third and final) patchwork deck. I use cards of all shapes and sizes, and have developed a particular shuffle and draw technique to size discrepancies.

With many thanks to my my friends all around the world

my moon cards joined the rest of the gang this week, thank you!

would you ever think of selling one of your paper children?

I have a DVD or is it CD from the one of the first franken decks

On the front it says it has been sent in uniform format.

Glad the Moons made it to you - enjoy  :)

I don't think I could ever sell or part with any of my three decks. Each off them has so many special cards and memories, and people were very generous in giving me cards from their own created decks, or hard-to-find decks; it would feel a betrayal to part with them.

But I don't plan on making any more, and am always happy to share cards from my spares if anyone else is making a deck (I know a few folks have or still are). So all I can do is encourage you to start one of your own  <3

best wishes

I have my Patchwork deck listed on auction (doing a deep clean out, not because I don't love it) and a lady wrote last night, could she order one and two for friends and could I ship them today   They really are special, thank you for taking the time to do this for us. If you will PM me your email I'll PayPal you whatever the net is from the auction for your charity, so it all comes around full circle.

Many thanks for this @AJ-ish/Sharyn - the two charities which I donated to relating to the creation and readings I did with these decks  are

Facing The World - a medical charity working worldwide to treat children who need facial surgery or reconstruction

and

Medicins Sans Frontier  - Doctors Without Borders.

If you can donate directly to either of those it would save losing fees to money movement I should think?

Or honestly any other similar charity you can access from where you live. Red Cross or Red Crescent perhaps?

With best wishes

PathWalker

I still love mine as well, it's so interesting to use with the different card styles from different artists and it works somehow 🙂

The deck has actually enabled me, there was at least 2 decks so far I liked the cards of and I went to buy the full deck. Really the publishers should make sampler physical decks, they are enabling hehe!

One deck I got after using it is the Tarot Nova, they are the tiny black square cards with bright coloured small artworks on. I really love it for some reason. I had never seen it before the patchwork deck
