Decks for future predictions

Hi,

 

I'm new to tarot decks and divination, but I'd like to learn how to improve seeing future events. For as long as I remember I've had psychic impressions and also get vivid visions, but I'm really clueless how to develop and strengthen it. It seems a lot of psychics such as Deseret Tavares use tarot cards. So I was wondering if there’s a certain type of deck that Deseret and other psychics use? Maybe cards that have certain types of imagery themes that help a psychic tune in.

 

As a side note if it’s okay I was wondering if astrology can help in psychic predictions as well?

Let me preface this by saying that I don't really do predictive readings myself and don't think I have much in terms of psychic abilities. I don't know if there is such a thing as a "one-deck-fits-all" for any type of reader! Which tarot deck you jive with tend to be very personal. Some like the regular RWS, others like the Thoth, others again something completely else. It sounds like you want a type of imagery you can connect to, so thinking about what themes or art style you like is a good start. The old Aeclectic website has a database for decks based on themes and then there are Youtube reviews of many decks so you can see all the cards in a deck to see how you like it. If there is a physical shop in your area it could be nice to visit and see the cards in person, but for many online is the best option. Good luck!
