I wonder how much it will be... something tells me this will be their most expensive deck so far  ::)

I just got this deck in a lucky and fabulous trade (thank you TarotScholar), and I cannot wait to dive on down the rabbit hole.  The imagery is just STUNNING!  I am glad to see they are reprinting it but so relieved I have my own personal copy (this was my grail/unicorn deck).

I have the mini deck.  It is beyond beautiful and equally wonderful for reading, meditation, and art.  I don't remember how much I paid for it, but it was definitely a splurge and worth every penny.

Yeah, if its somewhat reasonably priced I'll probably consider it. There seems to be much interest for alice themed decks of the moment. I'm also intrigued by the one by Dame Darcy called Queen Alice (its on preorder right not at Little red tarot shop).

This deck looks like fun, and the coloring is gorgeous.  On a semi-related note, I'll really miss the Little Red tarot blog! :'(

I recently got the Wonderland Tarot - was actually getting it as consolation thinking I would never be able to get The Alice tarot ... but hey now I have both!  ;D.  For me it was not only the theme but just the fact that in my personal experience Baba Studios has never made a deck I did not end up loving to read with, not to mention the beauty and quality of their decks.  As far as I am concerned they are in a class all of their own.  Well jury is still out for me on the Tarot of Prague, I own it but have not used it yet, but based on my experience of the Baroque Bohemian Cats, Victorian Romantic, Fantastic Menagerie, Fairytale, Bohemian Gothic, and Victorian Flower Oracle I have come to trust that I cannot go wrong with getting a Baba deck of any kind.

Did you hear that Beth will still be blogging herself? It surely wont be the same without all those other writers, but I always love reading Beths column. You can find it here: http://bethmaiden.com/the-garden/

So a local friend mine just got her copy of the 2nd Edition Alice Tarot and I had the pleasure of going through her deck and my 1st edition side by side.  The images themselves are identical, the differences seem to be in card stock, the cold stamping, and the cards in the 2nd edition are lighter.  Still rich in color but lighter.  I did like some of the cold stamping in the 2nd edition better than the 1st especially that they cold stamped the Cheshire Cats eyes on the Hanged man card, and I love how they cold stamped the hearts on cards with hearts on them.  They also cold stamped some other parts of cards that were not cold stamped in the 1st edition.  But there are many cards on which I prefer the cold stamping of the 1st edition.  I also like the 1st edition card stock a lot better, I am not one that gets hung up on the card stock, but the 2nd edition felt more like cardboard and I just like the feel of the card stock used in the 1st edition better.  I think I also like the darker color of the 1st edition cards.  Knowing now that actual imagery on the cards did not change I am actually delighted that I have the 1st edition and no longer feel like I missed out on something by not getting the second edition.

Karen and Alex have made some first edition Alice decks available. The money will be donated to the Red Cross for the Ukraine.
You get your choice of a free guidebook or a viscose scarf with the deck. Shipping is free since it's over $150. It's a fair deal and you'll be doing something good in this sad old world. Win/Win.

Link to US store:
https://baba-store.com/products/the-alice-tarot-standard-deck-first-edition-decks-sold-on-behalf-of-ukraine

If you are in the UK or EU, go to that store. Decks should go live there at 4 PM Irish time.
