Guest Night Shade Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Whenever I'm afraid, I feel intimidated and paralyzed; I can't even take one step forward. So I created this spread to help me understand and break free of my fears. I hope it helps you too. ----------6 --------5-- ------4---- ----3------ --2-------- 1---------- 1. What you fear. 2. Why this thing is causing you fear. 3. How this fear is intimidating and paralyzing you. 4. How you can fight back against the intimidation. 5. Breaking through the paralysis - a first step forward. 6. Your life free from fear.
Esk Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Thanks for sharing this spread Night Shade. I really like it and I'll save it for later. It will surely be helpful :)
Aldor44 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 hey there! I REALLY liked the idea Could you perhaps clarify the difference between positions 4 and 5?
Guest Night Shade Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 hey there! I REALLY liked the idea Could you perhaps clarify the difference between positions 4 and 5? Hi, Aldor44 Position 4 is about a change in thinking. When you're afraid, all kinds of nasty thoughts can go through your head, that tear you down and keep you from getting anywhere. This card is a way to say "NO!" to those thoughts , resist them, and ultimately reject them completely. For example, if your mind is telling you "you'll never get well" you might reflect on other times when you were ill, and ultimately recovered. Or ,you might read stories about others who have recovered from the same condition; hopefully this would encourage you to not give into the fear and just accept your condition, but to keep fighting with all you've got. Position 5 is an action step. If you want to conquer your fear, you eventually have to confront it. This card represents the first step to take For example, if you're afraid of dogs, your first step might be to visit a shelter and interact with them a bit. I hope this clears things up.
