Guest libra Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Anyone use this deck here? It's one of my favorites, especially for fall! It's full of the oranges & browns of fall, countered by a moonlit blue (pretty much all of the cards follow one or the other of these colour schemes). I find it reads like the cards are reversed most of the time, so the imagery of a brighter-meaning card can be the shadow side, while a usually darker card may be showing the silver lining. This makes is a bit harder to read if you usually meld the by-the-book stuff with what you see, but if you use it intuitively, it's very powerful!
RavenOfSummer Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 I had this deck, and was never able to bond with it, but I think my biggest problem was that I was just learning to read, and I think it's a tough deck for beginners. Like you said a lot of the cards don't seem to match traditional book meanings, and as someone who was trying to figure out how to read and literally reading books it wasn't making a lot of sense to me. I ended up trading mine, but I still think the art is gorgeous. Maybe I'll reconnect with the deck someday.
Ncharge Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 This was the first deck I read totally intuitively. I love it. The images change with each reading and give spot-on answers. I treasure this deck.
Tanawylfen Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 I love this deck and it's been in my collection for years - I find it a great digger which tends to expose where I'm allowing myself to be ruled inappropriately by weakness of myself or others.

This is SUCH a good description of this decks strengths! One of my first powerful lessons from this deck was the 7 of Cups in it. It shows a girl on a Pegasus, flying through the air, gazing apatheticly down at a series of Cups, the gold of each fading as she passes it by. It became a symbol of how I let my life path be ruled by others, and allowed opportunities to pass me by. The thing about this deck, though, is it can be so blunt, but never critical! Like it's not judging me, it's just opening my eyes. I really love this deck.
Guest libra Posted November 4, 2018 Posted November 4, 2018 Also, there's a spread released for the deck that looks great! It available on his website - http://archeontarot.com/archeon-spread/

That's such an evocative way to interpet the imagery on that card! <3 The thing about this deck, though, is it can be so blunt, but never critical! I'm intrigued, too, but it's been years since that spread booklet was released, and I can't find any further info on his next project anywhere.. :/
Emilija Posted December 26, 2018 Posted December 26, 2018 I just bought the deck for myself for Christmas. It's not my usual type of art, but I thought it was very moving!
