Looks interesting, I might be tempted to try and acquire this one. I probably wouldn't use it for readings as it might be unbalanced by the lack of the feminine elements. I like how it's not been bound to rigidly by the standards of the genre and has been a bit more free.

This looks beautiful! I'm definitely interested in seeing more of the card art, especially the artist's interpretations of the usually-feminine cards like the Empress and so on.

 

I like all-female decks very much, when done right (I know it's polarising, but the Dream Enchantress is one of my favourites) but I can only think of two all-male decks, and only one of those is a tarot deck. So I'm very intrigued by this one! It's always great to see tarot playing with gender and gender roles, and the art style here is lovely.

Gotta admit, I laughed too! But that's good, I think. I don't usually like decks that take themselves Super Seriously.

 

Also as someone who grew up in Ireland and England, and has now spent most of a decade in Finland, which has no nudity taboo - I like seeing non-sexual nudity. My childhood training says I'm supposed to look away from this kind of imagery, but there shouldn't be anything shameful about the human body. This is just - very natural, not sexual at all, completely normalised. And still able to poke a little fun at itself and make you giggle. It's pretty wonderful.

The Youth of Cups card is really stunning! I am one of those that likes gender balanced decks so I doubt I will get this deck.  I am deliberately not commenting on the Ace of Wands and the "wild hair".

In all seriousness, tho. This deck is probably for people like me who lack balance in male-female energy to begin with (I lack fire energy in my Natal chart, the only fire I have is in Sagittarius which is more cerebral in their head and less action—I could use an infusion of this masculine “Big Dick Energy”).

 

I’m not assertive and the most aggressive I’ve been is “cutting people off” instead of going after what I want.

 

If you think “I like balance in my decks” rather than “I need that help with masculine energy”, this deck is probably not for you anyway... 🤷🏻‍♀️

That is a good point, PageOfCups! I also think masculinity can be so much more than assertiveness, power and aggression (the typical cultural associations most of us have), so I hope the deck creators are exploring the gentle, soft side of it too. It might be more balanced than we expect from the name ^-^ From the webpage it looks very promising to me. The Youth of Cups (he might be both our namesake, since I'm a Page of Cups from the Halloween tarot) looks so sweet and kind, for example. And I love their male Empress, renamed The Protector, tending to the animals and sharing his bounty.

 

That Ace of Wands will inspire me to include the BDE in my personal associations. I mean, I never really noticed how phallic it was in the RWS until I was redrawing it this spring/summer, so it was already something I was aware of, but this deck has cemented that impression :thumbsup:

Oh my word I am reading this thread on a computer at the library.  I usually do all my computering at home but I decided to check in while I'm here.  I have the size ramped up because my eyes are tired and every reply is huge.
