Power Animal Tarot, AG Muller

I ordered this Tarot recently directly from AG Muller and can I just say that I absolutely love it! It didn't seem to get such good scoring on Aeclectic but I went ahead and bought it anyway cos it called to me - I've found it very powerful in shamanic work and I believe that the animals are very well chosen for each card. Sadly there is no mention anywhere who created the deck and this seems to me to be a rather tragic oversight (the LWB says nothing about the artist and sadly makes no reference to animals on the cards either - some of the birds I'm unsure as to the identity of for example and I'd have liked to know more about them!)

 

Love the Chariot - such a sense of freedom with those horses!

 

And I adore those card backs - sort of makes me think of the lines of the Joni Mitchell song "We are stardust...", reminding us that the smallest creature is composed of the same elements as the furthest stars!

 

So does anyone else have/use this deck and if so, how does it work for you?

I am one of those who dissed it on AT and I hold to that. Not least because the images are appallingly pixelated. I did do a 42 card reading with it for World Tarot Day once. It was - odd.

 

I note your image from le Palais. May I say that this is NOT a place to order from; their postage charges are INCREDIBLY high. And I do mean incredibly. (I also had a major dispute with them about something that was very badly advertised in their store and turned out to be frankly missold.)

Oh I imagine it's not for eveyone, but I like the pixelation, I think it adds to it really. I do think the publishers could have made a better LWB by at least crediting the artist though! A 42 card reading sounds like quite a feat - I admire you for even attempting that one! ;D

Duly noted (I have looked at their site before but not took much notice of the postal charges). I used the image because the others I found on Google were a little bit piddly and those were nice and big. Postal charges from AG Muller website were reasonable really to the UK I thought so I ordered a few decks and plan to order more in future.

AGM are civilised. Le Palais is beyond frightful. I don't BELIEVE their actual postage costs are so high. If they were, I would be OK with it.

I did some ongoing one card draws with The Power Animals Tarot at Aeclectic. Ironic and silly really - invoking power animals and Oh how we laughed because the deck was so bad and so shoddily done. I did loads of them. People kept coming back for more. I still have it. I’m afraid I think it’s a shocking publication but different strokes etc. I think if it were used shamanically, it might yield something but in terms of quality...
