giordanoberti Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 I am sure that many Tarot lovers would like to know about the english version of my book Giuseppe Maria Mitelli and the Tarocchino Bolognese (118 pages, illustrated in full color) entirely dedicated to the Tarot deck created around 1660 by the bolognese painter and engraver Giuseppe Maria Mitelli. The news are many and all very interesting: - life and works of Mitelli; - use of Tarot cards in the Baroque age for literary games; - legends and funny stories on Bolognese tarot; - customs of Tarocchino bolognese card players; - the first Bolognese manuscript on cartomancy (c. 1760). A long Appendix (written by Greta Boni Dori) is completely dedicated to cartomancy with this deck: - divinatory meanings of each card; - divinatory methods of use. A good review of the book and the deck attached to the book was written by Christian De Ryck in The Playing-Card magazine (vol.46 n.4, April-June 2018).
Flaxen Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 This is great news! It’s such a beautiful deck and anything that helps people read with it is a real bonus. Thanks for letting us know about it. [emoji4]
