Hello VG! I have returned, and I am so incredibly grateful to have found you all here. :)

Victorian Fairy Tarot for me, please. I haven't picked up a deck in weeks, and I feel like I need to ground myself in something familiar and comforting as I get acclimated to my new home. (And this house is a fairy house if there ever was one, for lots of reasons.)

I'm in once again with the Universal Fantasy & the WT Horton 22 card majors deck.

It's SO BAD that I've been so distracted with life that I barely touched the Universal Fantasy Tarot, and the WT Horton is still sitting up on my shelf, untouched.    ::)  I think this is week 6 or 7 by this time.  Ugh.  Hopefully the last.

The good news is after 7 months with no boss we finally got a new one, and it's someone we know and like.  :)

(We had a boss who was "temporary".  He has been awesome, and has been a great boss.  He bought the 22 card Steve Universe Tarot, and was talking to me about tarot yesterday. )  :))

edited to add - Welcome back GreenFaerie!

I missed last week, but I'm going to sign up for the Tarot Illuminati and the Vintage Wisdom Oracle, this time. I've barely touched the Illuminati so I need to try it out! I'll still probably play with my other decks too, since I'm such a beginner I often find myself referring to the same card in multiple decks if I'm stumped, but I'll be focusing on this one.

Welcome back GreenFaerie :D Hope you soon feel settled and grounded in your fairy house and cosy new forum.

Thanks for the new thread VG. I'm in with The Hidden Waters Tarot and Spirit de la Lune. Will also be using the Burning Heart Tarot for my daily draws as it's been far too long since I've worked with it  :)

Decided to take two at a time for now since I need to cull and have over 200 decks.

This week I picked Sweet twilight that I forgot I even had. And the Mountain Dream by Bea Nettles.

Sticking with my Thoth deck and the Goddess Oracle for one more week. I'm nearing the end of the Thoth book I'm reading so I'll stay with the deck for some time still... then I have to draw out the tree of life (only the 10 sephiroths, not the paths between) and maybe look over the astrology chapter again as some of that managed to fly over my head. Overall I'm getting there I think!

Hello, hello !

GreenFaerie, nice to see you ! I am glad you love your now home !

VG, thank you so much for the new thread and the continuous wonderful work you do to keep this community blooming !

I am back home after a very nice and bucolic vacation in the country side with my kids, at my aunt's place, and when I came back home I had the pleasure to find that during my absence, the postman had brought me the card that was missing from my Baroque Bohemian Cats tarot (I cannot thank the creators of this deck enough for their wonderful and kind customer service !) so this week I will use the Bohemian Cats ! Such a beautiful and fun deck that I am very excited about. I will use it conjointly with the Mystical Lenormand.

Thank you ! have a great weekend !

Fabulous! Thank you so much for hosting these for us VG! I am having a lot of fun working through my decks. I've actually got several that I've pulled out to work through over the next few weeks. But even so, this week I'm going to continue working with the Anna K Tarot since I only got a couple of readings in with it. And, I think I'll continue with the A'HA Oracle too. It still feels really different to use - even though the New Deck reading was great, it's still really different from Tarot, so I want to play with it some more.

Hi GreenFaerie! Glad you found us! When you mentioned your deck and house, my first thought was, you'll have to do a reading on the house with the Victorian Fairy Tarot! :D

Since summer is in full blast here, I am going to pull out the Idiosyncradeck Tarot and the Amythest Oracle for this week.

Thanks VG!

This week the tarot I'll be using is the Ellis Deck, created and self-published by Taylor Ellis. Paired with it will be the Brownies Oracle, created and self-published by Doug Thornsjo. Today's draws are the Queen of Swords and Reaping:

QSw.jpgreaping_0002.jpg

This Queen of Swords wears a heart on her crown rather than her sleeve; she can't afford to be dramatic about her feelings when there is a realm to govern. Yet the blood-stained tear and the bottle for tears suggest that she is not devoid of emotion, she just mourns in her own private way. She's gotten a bad rap for her stoicism, much like the black-widow spider on her neck. These spiders bite only when threatened but are otherwise non-aggressive. The oft-told story of the female biting and killing her mate is more the exception than the rule. Those who come to the queen for guidance know she won't be giving out cuddles, but she will be objective, fair and honest. The Brownies show what this queen knows - we will reap what we sow. We can't go back and change history if we get briers rather than melons, but the next season we can learn from our mistakes and change the seeds we plant and nurture. Tough love is not closing the heart, but allowing life to teach its own lessons in hope that it will change the course of future actions.

New week, old deck. One of my favorites, Grand Etteilla, the cards are numbered 1-78 and uses reversals, in

a fortune telling manner.

Thank you VG

Sweet twilight - meh. off to the pile you go!!!

Mountain dream - yay hippies.

Of the two I will keep the Mountain dream even though I don't actually need yet another RWS clone. It's a groovy clone!! I need to get a hippie bag for it.

My tarot deck this week is the Harry Potter Tarot. (All of the images are on the artist's website: http://ellygator.deviantart.com/gallery/46748242/HP-Tarot.)

I have several tasks that I must accomplish over the next few days in order to reach a much longed-for goal. As a result, I awakened this Monday morning, feeling giddy and energized to finally be so close, overwhelmed and apprehensive with fears of change and failure. Then, I pulled The Chariot for my card of the day. Gazing on the Hogwarts Express, steaming competently through a deep valley, I realized this is the perfect card for me today. I have a full head of steam and just need to stay on track. I've been planning for this journey carefully and don't need to derail myself now. Just follow through. Just follow through.

What a great card to validate your intention and motivate you, Madame Squee! (And thanks for sharing the link to the deck ;D)

I've spent such little time with the cards recently as work has been insanely busy. I'm using Linestrider this week. I've had the deck for ages and have looked through it, but just haven't got round to using it for reading.

Today's draw was the Page of Pentacles. The message is about the start of a creative endeavour, which must apply to work as I have promised myself I will not start any new creative projects at home until I've finished my w-i-ps! Today I didn't feel especially creative though I had to think on my feet a bit.

This card like so many others in the deck is beautiful. The page looks like a muse.

Oh hell, just lost the last post. Stupid home key  ::)

The Burning Heart Tarot is giving me some pretty harsh daily draws this week but they do still make sense. Looks like it's a bit of a drama queen deck  ;D

The Hidden Waters Tarot is just as wonderful as I remembered. Easy to read, beautiful to look at and fabulous to shuffle. I feel like I should be reading it in a more contemplative way but it's still working out great for quick readings. Hopefully I'll get around to doing the spread I have planned for tonight, as that should put it through its paces a bit more.
