As above - So below: A spread for spiritual empowerment (using multiple decks)

This is a spread for spiritual exploration and empowerment. I designed it with the intention of combining two decks (those who know me know that I LOVE combining multiple decks and/or systems). I just chose one deck for the "Above" positions, and one for the "Below" positions. I feel that this offers a chance to really pinpoint what energies you want to explore (or tap into) in each specific reading, so I chose my decks intuitively. But this spread will surely work just as well with only one deck, and it works great for both tarot and/or oracle cards. I added a picture of the reading that I did using this spread. This time I used two oracle decks and they are by the same creator (Laura Bowen) so they go nicely together. The top one is Dreamtime reading cards and the bottom one is Saltwater reading cards. (In this picture you can also see the backs of the different decks. I added that to make it more visible that I was working with two different decks/energies. Also, I should probably mention that both of these decks have been trimmed to fit better in my hands :) ).

 

I made sure the layout was really simple, clear and scaled back, as I find that to be very beneficial when you read with multiple decks.

So, I was searching for a spiritual spread as Ive just started talismanic and ritual work.  I couldn't find anything suitable, but I came on here and I knew that this was the spread i've been searching for....the placements etc were perfect for me!  Synchronicity 1 V  0 Coincidence.

 

Anyway these were my RWS cards:

 

Above: 1. 9 of pentacles  2. Knight of Pentacles  3.  The Moon

 

Below:  4.  5 of wands    5.  10 of swords          6.  The Sun

 

I won't bang on about it too much, but I'll give a quick rundown of my interpretation. 

 

The 9/pens is full of spiritual symbolism & in this position a Higher Calling perhaps....the snail with it's shell of the spiral of life, the falcon is this instance would represent Horus/Osiris with the promise of new life and victory, and her hand on the 6 pentacle & the abundance all around would indicate a spiritual wealth and balance....the solitary 9 of the Hermit too.  Below the 5 of wands is my inner-conflict as there are parts of my old life i miss and reminisce on.

 

I always used to be the knight/cups or wands, but knight of pentacles is the more reliable me who studies both esoterically and in the more conventional sense.  THe 10/swords below i can only think of in this position is the old crowd that I used hang around with and which i've recently walked away from.  The old student life which I once so enjoyed now makes me feel dead inside.  I cut quite a solitary figure atm.

 

The Moon is the infinite, ancient subconscious & astral paths that I tap into, and that ebb & flow but are strong & sometimes confuse & scare me, but are ultimately deep wells of intuition sand knowledge.  And on the other side of mountains where the path leads is The Sun rising.  This very strong combination of light and reflection informs me that spiritual enlightenment, rebirth, etc is very possible; in fact, in my life what I'd always considered the impossible is now very possible.

It is actually two different decks but by the same creator (Laura Bowen). The cards in the top row are from Dreamtime reading cards and the bottom row is Saltwater reading cards. They are truly beautiful decks. My copies have been trimmed though so they are somewhat smaller than the original version (I trimmed them because they were too big for my hands to shuffle them comfortably).
