Hello from Philly, Where It's Always Sunny!

Narrator: It was not, in fact, alway sunny in Philly...

Hello all! I figured I'd jump in and introduce myself. Like many others, I'm a former ATer (I went by Deacon76 on that board). I've been reading tarot since 2006. I've been working a lot with the TdM lately, specifically the CBD and Noblet decks. Every now and again, I entertain the notion of reading professionally, but I haven't really dropped the hammer on that endeavor. I've read online, at writing conferences, at parties... but hanging out a shingle still seems so daunting.

I'm also a writer, and am trying to get back into the saddle of the whole novel-writing biz.

Anyway, I'm most interested in talking tarot, gaining fresh perspectives on the cards, and maybe swapping a tall tale or two. Thanks for letting me join the party, and don't mind me if I wander off to pat the puppies.  :)

Hello HermiWriter!  Welcome!

You'll find we have several writers on the site.  If you're not a member of Scribophile it might be a writing site you'd be interested in joining.

I've been doing readings for writers for a few years now.  Just finished up with NaNoWriMo for the month of November of writer readings.  We have an excellent plan to get you up and reading professionally.  We have a paid readers hub where you can post your website here and redirect traffic to your site for only $2 a month or $20 for the year.  It is for help for the extra bandwidth we generate.  People can come right off google and go to your site so it's a big help getting traffic.  When you are settled in here and want to discuss your future website, PM me, I'm always happy to help readers get into their own business!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome, Saturn Celeste!

I finished NaNoWriMo earlier this week, which I think is the first time I haven't gone down to the wire :-) It's been a long time since I finished a novel, so I'm still riding that high. Thank you for the writing link too!

I will definitely reach out when I've decided to jump into the deep end of pro taroting.

Welcome to the forum, there are plenty of discussions about the cards and all things Tarot here so I hope you'll settle in and join in the chat!

Once again, welcome :-)

Hello HermitWriter and welcome  X/

l see you have already had a foray into the forum, so glad you found your way around okay.

There are quite a few old ATers here myself included its lovely to meet up with everyone again.

Hi Hermitwriter!

I identify with your name, as I'm also a writer and in a rather hermit-like state right now.  :) I just finished Nano for the first time (won, but the book is far from complete). Did you participate? Are you on Scribophile?

I hope you find whatever it is that's needed for you here on this forum and hopefully I'll see you around in one of the exchanges soon!

Hello and welcome, HermitWriter!  We have a writer's section on this forum; I hope you'll share some of your work with us!  :)

Thank you Stephanelli, Thoughtful, Day Soleil, and Night Shade!

Day Soleil, congrats on winning NaNo! That's a huge accomplishment. Someone once said "a book is never complete, only abandoned." When I'm in the editing / revision stage, I definitely feel that! I did win NaNo, so now it remains to be seen just how the heck I'm going to turn that first draft into finished product.

I will definitely pop into the writer's section. Some day I may even post an excerpt or two (even if the Hermit in me is mortified by that thought)  :P

Welcome :) By the way: I love its always sunny! hahahaha

Thank you! I enjoy that show too, though I haven't kept up with it lately. And welcome to you too!
