A spread that digs deep (using the Celtic cross pattern)

Featured Replies

This is a spread that I designed for deep personal exploration. It has the shape of a standard Celtic Cross, but the order and the positions are quite different. Card number 6 can be placed on top of number 5 (so it's crossing) or next to it.

If you use reversed cards then any reversed cards would highlight areas that are of specific interest and that need extra attention (it might indicate blockages but it can also represent high-energy areas where lots of things are going on right now).

      2          10

3  5/6  4      9

      1            8

                    7

1: Blood (Fire)

2: Sweat (Earth)

3: Tears (Water)

4: Beliefs (Air)

5: Hopes

6: Fears

7-9: Core truths (7. Internal, 8. External and 9. Eternal)

10. The Guiding Star

Each card can highlight current events/themes or struggles in a specific area, and it can also point to strategies on how to best deal with it.

1. Blood. (Fire) This is the area where your inspiration, creativity, and passion lies. It is where you draw your motivation and your fighting spirit from.

2. Sweat. (Earth) This relates to your body, your health and the tangible and material objects in your life. It can also speak of work/labor and physical exercise/diet.

3. Tears. (Water) This is the area of emotions; of self love, friendships and of romance. It talks about your need for balance and emotional release. It also speaks of boundaries (healthy/unhealthy).

4. Beliefs. (Air) This relates to your thoughts and your dialogues (external as well as internal). It points to your sense of identity and self worth. It can highlight self deceit but it can also show where you are limiting yourself and selling yourself short.

5. Hopes. What you fantasize about and what your soul or your body yearns for.

6. Fears. This might be something you are well aware of but it might also highlight subconscious issues and shadow material.

7. Your internal truth. What is at your core; a key aspect of you.

8. Your external truth. What is true about your life/your actions and the way you are perceived by others.

9. Your eternal truth. What is true about your divine essence and your higher purpose; your spiritual path and where you can find a deep sense of meaning and nourishment for your soul.

10. The Guiding Star. This is the star of hope, unconditional love, healing and acceptance. It is also a source of guidance, wisdom and clarity.

Edit: I meant to add that you can use a different deck for the last card (or even the last four cards). Perhaps an oracle deck or a tarot deck that you feel has a spiritually comforting vibe.

That looks like a wonderful spread, Raggydoll[/member] . I am totally copying it over to my journal to try after the holidays are over. <3
