The World

I decided to start a thread for the World card because every woman pictured here took care of me during my recent hospital stay. The only exception was that nobody wore the hijab. I'm the one in the middle with the white  hair who is knitting except that I was crocheting and not knitting. When I knew I was probably going to be admitted to the hospital, I threw a bunch of granny squares and yarn into my bag. All I had to do was take one look at my feet to know I'd not be coming home for awhile, so I wanted something to do.

 

The day of my discharge from the hospital, I drew the World card. I think that's quite eloquent of the Everyday Enchantment. The women in the World card look very much like some of the women who were my nurses. The place I live is out in the mountains in the midst of a forest, so the rest of the image is appropriate to where I was going, too.

Grizabella, I love this card and I love the whole deck!  It may very well be my next deck, cutting the line ahead of several already waiting their turn on my wish list.
