Mesquite tarot is going OUT OF PRINT!

The independently published Mesquite Tarot is now being retired. Beth at Little Red Tarot has a few copies left. https://littleredtarot.com/product/mesquite-tarot/

I have this deck. It is quite simplistic or perhaps even minimalistic in its design, but all the vital elements are there and I feel that it is quite easy to comprehend. The guidebook is excellent. I think I have gotten more use out of the guidebook than the actual deck but I plan on working more with this deck next year to give it a proper chance.

Oh no I wanted this!  Will Little Red ship to the US? :(

Edit: It appears to be still available at the main site! https://www.mesquitetarot.com/mesquitetarotshop/mesquite-tarot-set-deck-guidebook

I'm glad its still available on the main site! Beth does ship world wide and she has a flat rate shipping. But it is of course much more affordable to buy it directly from the creator as she lives in america.

Perhaps email the creators and ask how many decks they have left? Beth wrote in her newsletter that this deck will not be reprinted and that she made sure to stock up on it before it was all out. So I'm not sure how many copies the creators have left. Its weird that their website does not mention it being retired. Perhaps they have not updated it for a while? I mean, they only offer one product so you would think that they would mention something like that.

Yes that is odd!  I'll have to do some digging around, you may be right!

On Beth's website it now says: NOTE: This is the last printing of this deck – limited stock remaining.

I was one of the original Kickstarter backers and I got an update through there a couple weeks ago that they were going to stop printing. I don't know if non-backers can see it, so here's a small quote from that update:

"[...] the daily and business operations of the company have been managed by aleisha over the past 12 months. we have explored many potentialities for the continuation of mesquite under a different structure and it’s become increasingly clear that the solution that is best for us and for the integrity of the project is to make space for its end."

Thank you for sharing!

I heard that the cards in this deck are really small. They're bridge size, which is a little smaller than playing cards. That's pretty tiny, especially for a tarot deck! Are they really that small?

They are small, and that is part of what drew me to them! I have achy hands and much prefer smaller cards for shuffling. But I can definitely see why someone would think that they are a bit too small (but its not a mini deck, like the ceccoli mini one).

Here is a comparison. The mesquite is on the left, in the middle is the US games ‘in a tin’ size cards (white sage tarot), and to the right is the standard Centennial RWS

Thanks for the picture. Wow, that Mesquite is one teeny deck. It's so cute, though. Even the Death card is cute.

That White Sage deck looks pretty minuscule, too. It makes the RWS look enormous.

It's the smallest deck I have, but my absolute favorite to shuffle precisely because of its size. Its such a lovely deck and I love the guidebook too, it's very thought provoking. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who is on the fence about it.
