it is just luck really reall[/member]!  >:D :)) I have never been charged by customs for a crowd funded deck yet to be honest, but it's Gamecrafter which gets me every single time! All my Crowd funded decks were made through printerstudio and came through the Europe hub or from Asia printing companies and had a lower price on the label  8)

You lucky LUCKY sod, Daniel ! I have. MANY times. I guess you haven't backed the same ones I did. I've had some from PS, but others very much not.

But yes, the Modrone will be OK. UNLESS a full scale Brexit happens by then. I wish more KS people took the line that one has just done - she was confirming my phone number but in passing said

Technically I don't think KS rewards even count as "purchases" since your contribution was technically a donation. Regardless, there won't be any pricing included on the package.

But yes - Gamecrafter ALWAYS gets hit. Every.Single.Time. So if I MUST have something from them, I have it sent to Canada. Mostly I just don't go there at all. reall - I am guessing as yours were effectively trade samples rather than purchases, they could be OK.

reall[/member] - I think that name's too long to get attention. Fluid Aquarius Art should do it :)

@DanijelJUK & gregory[/member] agree about gamecrafter it may be too popular for it's own good!:)

my parcel was from drivethrucards (actual purchase over 50$value marked on box declaration!) but maybe it's holiday season or dtc not yet that *famous so that explains it!?:)

Ha ha! I  like that *donation clause! wish our post office see it same way!:D

p.s don't worry it's just a *vibe i'm aiming not actual name i'm picking! it'll be something like dailydoodlesdo lolz?xD

Thoughtful[/member]  we should be okay because Lo Scarabeo is European based, so probably they will come from them in Italy but if it's no deal or we are then outside the customs union, who knows what it will cost to get them in! But it should hopefully come fine! You just have to watch American decks especially from North America, I always get customs charges ugh!

That makes me feel better Dan, whatever happens l know this deck will be worth it, can't wait  :D

My thought upon seeing this thread was "compared to kickstarters for graphic novels and printed book versions of webcomics? no way!".

With both tarot and comics, Kickstarter is just very viable. Printing and publishing costs money for a creator to do themselves, but if you've already made the art (or most of it) then it's a lot easier to get people onboard and to have a reasonable turnaround. Compare to video game Kickstarters, of which there are many well-funded campaigns that went belly up, I say Tarot kickstarters are a pretty healthy bunch. Of course there's always going to be decks that don't get funded due to lack of press or Sturgeon's law, but I don't think we're heading for an indie deck market crash.
