Hello new friends! In my tarot journey, I am going by Epsilon and I use she/her/hers pronouns. I chose Epsilon as my username because I am a math PhD student and Greek letters like epsilon and delta remind me of math!

I've been learning to read tarot for two weeks now, after feeling drawn to purchase a deck at the start of the new year. When I was in middle school I also had a (different) tarot deck but never built a habit of reading. My deck is the Linestrider Tarot deck and I've been resisting purchasing another pretty deck (or a standard deck for learning) as I get to know this one and the system as a whole.

I found this site while searching the web for advice and stories about tarot, because there is so much to learn! I've especially enjoyed reading through people's tarot blogs and I hope to find more personal stories like that here. To learn tarot in general, I've been relying on the LWB that accompanied my Linestrider deck, as well as The Modern Tarot book and interpretations on Biddy Tarot for when the LWB's interpretations do not match my intuition.

Hi.... X/ I am also new to tarot and I also like reading the interpretations/explanations on Biddy Tarot. Really good site. I'm not familiar with the deck you are using so I googled it and...the images are really nice! They have a sweet, vintage french feel almost with a lot of underlying meaning. I currently have only used the traditional RWS but I'm interested in purchasing a different deck as an alternate.

Hi Epsilon, and welcome to the forum! We are a friendly group, and there are plenty of people to answer any questions you may have. I think you are doing the right thing by sticking with one deck while you learn. I did that, and it was really helpful. I'm not familiar with the book you mentioned. There are many good ones. I think Mary K. Greer's are some of the best. :)
