Day Soleil Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Is there such a deck? I keep envisioning the Major Arcana as one big painting following the path of the Fool. Am looking for a deck if you lay out all the MA cards on a table in, let's say, three or four rows, they will form one big picture in front of you. Just curious!
ballerina Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Yes, The major arcana of the Grail Tarot by John Matthews and Giovanni Caselli forms a lovely frieze when laid out side by side. It's the story of the search for the grail in Renaissance style art. Lovely.

AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 the Maya Tarot feathered serpent deck does this and the newer Prisma Visions does it with the majors and the suits.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! Oooh - yes, the Prisma Visions suits are so interesting! That's precisely what I had in mind. I'm not really seeing a big picture emerge in the MA, but maybe they have to be laid out in a certain manner. I can't find the Maya Tarot Feathered Serpent deck online anywhere.
Arabella Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 https://www.sweetmedicineshoppe.com/mayantarotdeck.aspx This is the deck, the Flight of the Feathered Serpent is the companion book. Hope this helps. I love the idea of the majors combining to make a bigger picture. Very appropriate as majors are "the big picture", aren't they?
AJ-ish/Sharyn Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 My bad, sorry! It is the Xultun deck. Mesoamerica was my subject of study in 2012 so at some point I had every one of the decks in the maya/aztec/toltec arena. https://quirkeries.blogspot.com/search?q=Xultun
queenofwans Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 The Shadow Light Tarot does! The Major Arcana and every suit each form an infinite panoramic. So not only do they each form one big panoramic, but a continuous one at that -- the World connects back to the Fool, and each King connects back to the Ace of the suit. You can see all the cards here: http://erictecce.com/wakingcanvasstudios/shadowlightgallery.html
