Getting a lwb printed can be as big a hurdle as the deck I have found.

Perhaps because I am a bibliophile by nature, but I expect a lot out of a book. I am always impressed  when the LWB is perfect bound and a little larger. My i-ching deck came with one, and a couple other more high end decks have them...though I am usually not interested in the decks  they look and feel great.

back and forth I have floundered with making a normal A5  (5x8) size book , while and A6 is really a ncie size being just a little larger than a Thoth deck in dimensions, and then there is the A7 which is really the size of a European trump card. I can not find any POD printers that get down to the size of the A6 or A7.

A4 210 x 297 mm 8.3 x 11.7 in

A5 148 x 210 mm 5.8 x 8.3 in

A6 105 x 148 mm 4.1 x 5.8 in

A7 74 x 105 mm 2.9 x 4.1 in

A8 52 x 74 mm 2.0 x 2.9 in

that is a list of the more common sizes with their ISO number

If anyone comes across printers that go this small, let me know.

In the mean time I have chosen not to print little white books at all.

imo A5 is perfect book size if you consider it allows you decent font size & plenty of space for appropriate guidebook if you have lots to say(like oracle decks usually require!:)

& if you don't wish to print it with printer or yourself /with local print shop,

you can always offer it as download pdf/epub & let people print it for themself

(just say; print it on your standard A4 paper size & folded in middle to get A5 book?:)

i was thinking of packaging it as an app. for the mean time. Having an app gives me a lot more flexibility to be interactive and stuff than an ebook.

hm agree! your way of thinking much more advanced than my!:D

will be looking forward to this app!:) so keep updated!^^ lol

i will keep everyone updated if I take that route. I am sure it will be a bunch of trouble, and I will need to find other devices to test it on.

sadly it would be months and months before I could compile an app for the apple app store. I would have to get my hands on a mac in a rather permanent way for development.  So no matter what I do it would be android, until i find a used mac.

developing on ios is pretty straight forward ...costs 100 bucks, need a mac to compile on...and you have to pass the apple vetting process for an approved app

that of course leaves out the seemingly endless painful hours of making it work

an epub or ebook format will still work for apple.

i bought the Galaxy tarot app. I was sort of let down. It didn't appear to journal the way I would have liked, all of the information that was unlocked was just stuff anyone could google search for the most part...and I am not sure what kind of magic they used for their i-ching to tarot correspondences ..i returned it.

is there a tool that lets you save your spread and journal it? If i add a journal to my LWB, my journal tool is going to let you put our own darn cards in it...every phone has a camera why isn't that the firs thing they think of? instead they want to charge money to use their favorite decks.  >:D

welp we will see how far I can get i haven't done this stuff in awhile. i have some time while my cards are getting proofed.
