What would you think if you bought a new deck of cards and instead of an LWB, there is an extra card directing you to the App Store?

What would you expect to see a digital LWB? calendar|journal, card descriptions, anything else?

is this just annoying or possibly an asset

it would lower the price of a deck and it's subsequent shipping, among other things. whole bunch of work to do in the first place though  :o

As an app, it would annoy me! It crosses between two things which work well I think.....

I quite like digital LWB's which are PDFs or ebook format. I often have them on my laptop that I use for readings and on my phone as a portable guide to open. I have no issue with having to download a PDF and I can use it how I want with the deck. For me this is the best way of doing a non physical LWB. More and more self-published decks offer it like this and it's easy to deal with.

I also like deck apps where you get the info. The GalaxyTone apps have different tabs, the interpretation of the card (in their opinion), keywords, associations of the card (astrology, colours in the deck, symbols, numerology, etc) on different tabs. Other ideas about interpretations. So I can look at the card image and then get further info on different tabs behind it.

But an app with the actual LWB, don't give me the flexibility of the PDF or the digital version of the deck of the deck app, it's sort of in-between the two. I could live with it but would rather have either of the other two options :)

I am fairly certain the app can have all the functionality of an ebook. An ebook reader is typically an app actually, with very limited tools. Chances are if one is not using the Full Adobe Acrobat on their device it is just an app called a reader. All of the ways to do this I am finding want the .pdf format to build the book. So my guess is all these readers are doing fundamentally the same process.

I was thinking the same thing you are really, i don't want t make something clunky...the point was to simplify things.

Since my book contains for instance all of the same sorts of information you mentioned about the GalaxyTone app is exactly why i thought of combining the two. the data is already there to draw from. It is jst busy work setting up the indices to have correspondences pointing at each other and back at pertinent parts of the ebook.

I would use tabs as well I guess, one tab is the book  next tab a tool  next tab a journal etc...

so I installed the galaxy tarot app....

i'm not too impressed, maybe it's me but it is like a child's toy. I did not purchase the premium version but it appears everything they offer for premium is fairly available as a google search, is specifically indexed in Liber 777, or i was going to include as regular feature.

if you had  bought a deck of cards and it came with an app like that what would you like to see?

Features I would expect would include

journaling

ability to save spreads

ability to build your own spreads

ability to share spreads between other user of the app

ability to display journal entries as certain spreads or results visually with an icon

ability to define Specific cards as Significators to be flagged in the journals

ability to flag any card, word, or character in any description  or spread spread in the journal for sorting and filtering

output any journal entry and spread to a pdf or word document or equivalent format

from that journaling module any time a specific indexed word is used that exists in the LWB becomes a link to it's description. So if you are wondering what mar's value is you can type "mars," it in the journal and click it or perhaps that King air, the link will just take you to the pertinent section heading in the lwb.

all of that journaling stuff is why I am leaning toward an app rather than an eBook
