GreatDane Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I have been gravitating to the Vintage German for a couple reasons. One, it has the old images I love and two, love the cardstock, it's really a pleasure to shuffle. The Minute Lenormand gets use. LOVE the bright images Chronata made :) But also reach for the Anna. K and Ancient Lenormand, all the ones in my profile. The Noir is also a fav. But yes, this week, the Vintage German is getting a lot of use. What deck have you reached for...the MOST....lately?
HOLMES Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I used the lenormand by alex m recently , out of the decks you talked about I would get the vingtage german with no borders, inserts, if the german poems were in English I might get the poems. 54 dollars though is out of my price range. if only anna k lenormand and that deck was mass produced so be cheaper.. but then again you end up paying for the quality you get in the end i hear.. the paperbacks of today decks i hear are thinner then they used to be.
Grizabella Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 I have the expanded mass market Gildend Reverie and then, for when space is limited, that one that's done by the same author who did the Kipper with the little monkeys on it. I can't think of the name of it off the top of my head. I keep the Gilded Reverie, the Fin de Seicle and the Everyday Enchantment Tarot in a treasure chest along with spread cloths for them I've made out of old fashioned women's hankies. They're the decks I'm using most these days. The spread cloths for the cards seem to me to echo the tea house theme I'm working on in my RV. I've never been to an actual tea house before, so this is my idea of what a tea house would look like, mind you.
GreatDane Posted February 20, 2019 Author Posted February 20, 2019 I hear ya, Holmes! I have three of her decks and they are my fav to shuffle too. Don't know when or if the Anna. K Lenormand may be more readily and inexpensively available at some time, but I can check X/ Oh, your tea house theme sounds grand, Griz!
Grizabella Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 I think of you so often, GreatDane. Every time I see that Lenormand pouch I got when we traded back in 2011 I think of you and it's out in plain sight so it's fair to say I probably see it every day. <3
GreatDane Posted February 21, 2019 Author Posted February 21, 2019 X/ (( AW, THANKS FOR THAT, GRIZ! And Holmes, checking with Anna. K for you.
bookshop Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Can I take the opp to rec the only Lenormand deck I own? It's just that it's so lovely and I feel like it's really unknown! It's the Alternate Realities Lenormand, and as you can see from the very tiny instagram tag, it's absolutely gorgeous: https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/alternaterealitieslenormand/ It comes with six extra significator cards and a slew of lovely meaning/reading cards, and the whole deck is just so lovely that at this point I can't imagine needing another Lenormand deck, maybe ever.
GreatDane Posted February 22, 2019 Author Posted February 22, 2019 I have Jeri Totten's C'est La Vie Lenormand, bookshop! Similar kind of art. She did multiple Lenormands and Alternate Realities is very cool
