No Reply Button or Start New Topic Button?

This might just be me and I'm missing something (I am hopelessly non-techy), but on some threads/forums I'm not seeing a "reply" button/option or a button to allow me to start a new thread. I noticed this today when I went into the tarot deck thread; I had a question about a deck and wanted to post. Other forums (such as Chatter, and this forum) show the option to reply and post...

Am I missing something? Or is it a glitch?

Thanks in advance!

You can't post a new thread from within a thread; you have to be in a sub-forum. I can't explain the reply button thing. I see them RIGHT at the bottom of the last post in a thread. Next to "add bookmark".

Sandy, can you please give me a link where you wanted to post?

Thank you, gregory[/member].  <3

If I go into, say, Deck of the Week, as an example, it allows me to post there and start a new topic (button at top, right). But if I go right below it, to Deck Creations, I get no new topic button at the top.

Then in some other threads, such as the one about the dollar tarot with missing cards, it shows no reply option and simply says, "Logged". Same with "Unboxings and First Impressions". There's no reply button but it reads as "Logged."

Is Mercury in retrograde? ;)

Saturn Celeste[/member], please see my reply to Gregory, right above this. I was trying to post in the Tarot Deck section, as I had a question about a deck. But it's also happening in Author Topic sections, too. It's sort of random in terms of forums it's happening in...

Thank you in advance!

Odd - I just posted in that Dollar Tree thread and it looks normal. Have you tried clearing your cache ?

There is no button for that. We cannot be allowed to delete threads; you'd have to ask a mod and have a VERY good reason. (I speak as one who accidentally posted a duplicate this morning - but that's life.)

It is a lesson to us all - think before you post/start a thread.

I modified some permissions on the Paid Reader profile.  Check for a reply button now?

Hi, Little Fang[/member]. I just went into Unboxings... Still no reply option. And still no option to create a new thread in the forums I mention above.

Maybe I should clear my cache as gregory[/member] suggested?

Tried it. Didn't help. :(

The options I'm getting in the Dollar Tree tarot thread are, at top and bottom, "Add Bookmark", "Mark Unread", "Print", and "Add as Article", with no reply option or green button.

I don't EVER have GREEN buttons. I'm on the Astronomy skin. What are you on ?

Just the default one. I just tried the astronomy skin, though...Cool looking! Changing skin, however, does not give me reply options, either.

It's most definitely a permissions issue. Which section is Unboxings in?

Posted

Unboxings and First Impressions is under Tarot Decks, Little Fang[/member].

Thanks, guys, for helping me out!

It also won't let me "reply" in Announcements, Talking Tarot, etc. Little Fang[/member]. So it's just sort of randomly locking me out. (Sorry this is such a pain, by the way!)

I have the Astronomy skin and just went to the Dollar Tarot thread and no issues with finding those buttons at the top or bottom.

If it is an old thread I sometimes find it difficult to locate then, but I hardly go into old ones so do not really mind.

(But thanks for trying to help!)

Ok, try one more time.  Once again let me know in detail which sections you're having issues with if you continue to do so.  I have to leave the computer soon but I'll be back tonight to poke it again if needed.  Apologies for the inconvenience!
