Alchemist Tarot 2008

l would not say it is sought after, as l do not see it on Ebay or Amazon. If it was really wanted you can bet it would be on either of those two sites, and at prices you would need to rob a bank for  :))

Thanks, Thoughtful[/member]!  In part I'm still building my Etsy site and have OOP decks up there, so I was debating whether to buy this for re-sale. Long story short, I'm trying to pull in new visitors for readings, so having decks for sale directs traffic there. It's a Majors Only deck, too...my concern was it's so rare that it might not be on anyone's radar, or it would sit there for a long time, just waiting for that one who desperately wants it.

Well according to your aeclectic link it says it was unpublished.  Have also googled and can't see it for sale anywhere.

It's for sale on EBAY now. Amazon has it used from 600.00 up (if I recall correctly). Mostly, though, when buying I look for lots of OOP decks (at least 6 or more) then keep the ones that speak to me or re-sell them if they don't. I really only keep decks I use when reading anymore. Right now I'm leaning against this one, though I'm still keeping an eye on it.

Oh well done, being in the UK l didn't see it for sale here at all.

I had no idea it was limited. I do have it; it cost me all of $40. I just - bought it. I like her work. I had no idea it was limited - and my database doesn't mention that... Even Adam McLean's database doesn't say it was limited. I do wonder if that is an amazon hype. If not - well, wow...

Oh, and gregory[/member]. I don't think it is hype. (Not 100 percent sure though.)

But: I've bought decks from this collector before and know her to be honest and quite a collector. She mentioned in her listing about the 180 and I saw that someplace else, too. She has 1 of 180 (she wrote), which is also why I was interested.

Again: Great find! I like the artwork a lot, though I favor alien-ish decks. :)

Oh (amended) here is the write-up posted...unless I'm misunderstanding what she means by "LAST decks ever printed of the World of Tarot ALCHEMIST TAROT": (???????????)

OK - I must go see if mine is numbered :)

AAAAAND - I am now fairly sure there must have been a second unlimited version. Mine is NOT numbered, is genuinely giclee printed, in a not very solid apparently giclee printed tuckbox with a very professional looking LWB - and the box has a full-scale ISBN on the back. Everything looks like the images on amazon - but there is no number ANYWHERE (that I can see.) Actually - if you are chatting to her - ask where the number IS - in case I am missing something here !

Okay, and now that you're writing THAT, I'm wondering if she just has one of 180 or labeled #1 of 180. Oh hell...I'll just ask her. More to come...

Oh crappers, gregory[/member]. Maybe I misread this one? She wrote and said, "It is from the last 180 decks that was hand printed by Londa. They are not numbered or signed."

So you probably got a way better deal at 40 than I did at 85! Normally I'm pretty good about what I can turnaround fairly easily, but...ah, well.

Posted

I bought mine in 2009. That DOES make a difference.

But given HER current price - $289 for a new one - $85 might very well be worth a punt.

I would like to know why Londa's amazon listing refers to that 180. Her website doesn't list any number of prints.... not even for the collectors edition.

I know only 180 copies were printed, so this is a rare deck, but does anyone know how sought after this deck is today? I had never heard of it before today...

I wish i could get my hands on some old decks
