I just got this deck a few days ago and in the middle of enjoying all the gorgeous illustrations, I've been highly amused by whatever is happening in this trio of cards!

 

 

What's happening in this clandestine tryst? Are they being spied upon, or is our romantic hero being a faithless cad? Are these the same set of lovers who then show up in the 2 of cups later?

 

 

They're getting along swimmingly! But where's our disgruntled brunette gone off to?

 

 

Oh, ho! Is she cavorting with another fun couple?  >:D Or is this the original trio from The Lovers, now all reconciled and enjoying one another's company?

 

Or are these all completely different characters? I like to think they're all embroiled in an epic juicy Victorian love triangle, and our Byronic hero just has incredibly versatile hair. ;)

 

What do you all think?

He's really the Knight of Cups and is cavorting, only not on his horse but with lots o' ladies!  X-D

Haha! I love these cards! The art is really neat :D

 

The Lovers is about him making a choice, but the Three of Cups shows he decides, "Why not both?"  :rainbow:

Haha, Saturn Celeste[/member], I checked the Knight of Cups and he seems a swarthier type, which is fitting for the card. Maybe he can teach our lover a few tricks!

It's a really pretty deck, I'm enjoying it a lot so far!

Bringing this topic back since I know a bunch more of you have acquired the Dark Mansion in the intervening months!

 

What are your theories about this dude/possible set of dudes, huh? A ROGUE PHILANDERER? or living his best life?! 😂

Oh i like the idea of a Byronic hero ! Could be a naughty victorian love story 😀

 

When I first got the deck I thought there were similarities between the couple on the lovers and two of cups.
