Hemera Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Everyday Witch Tarot (D.Blake & E.Alba 2017 Llewellyn) Knight of Cups “Lover” Description: The Knight is on his broom above an ocean. He is staring at his cup filled with soap bubble hearts and doesn’t seem to see or mind the shark waiting below. The ocean is a lovely velvety shade of blue, soft and inviting. From the Book (Everyday Witch Tarot, Llewellyn 2017): Passion is a wonderful thing but be careful not to let your heart completely overrule your head. Someone with good intentions but not a lot of follow through. Someone following his bliss. May be shallow. Associations (idea from a book by Mary Greer) Plant: seaweed Animal: seahorse Landscape: sea Music: ukulele Art: acrylics Body of Water: stream Traditional meanings (Mary K. Greer): -seductive charming lover -amusements, holidays, passing pleasures -creating fantasies, movies & entertainment This card encourages: -Act from your heart -Express your feelings Warns against: -Con men, lady’s men, someone in love with love -Suffocating situations -Too much emotion, shallow emotions Notes: Heart shaped soap bubbles are beautiful but not long lasting and they make a perfect symbol for this card. This Knight is in love with love but his affections are not to be relied on. His golden cup is decorated with cute seashells and he has small red fish embroidered in his cape. What is the "weapon" attached to his waist, I wonder? Paintbrush? I like the shark down below which reminds us to beware and keep a clear head. It’s not always a good idea to get carried away with feeling.
