I know that I dream sometimes and often it goes in phases (often with the lunar cycle, I know I've had a dream more often near a full moon). But I very rarely remember anything about them other than their overall vibe. E.g. I woke up at some point last night feeling 'shot through with adrenaline' and like I'd been scared. Around the full moon I woke up from a dream feeling warm, cosy and 'lighter than air'. But I don't remember anything that led up to that point. I'm looking for a tarot spread to help me understand these dreams when they come and help me try to interpret their messages, which is hard without remembering the dream. (Also we'll save the discussion about how you get better at remembering dreams for another time!). So suggest some spreads for me! (Self-designed spreads welcome too!) What was the setting, and why was it significant? 3. What happened in the dream, and how does it relate to what's happening in my life? 4. What did the characters want to tell me? 5. Overall message of the dream.

I remembered this morning that I'd started this thread but hadn't seen any replies in the unread posts section for it, so I went searching and discovered you'd replied!!! I must have missed it at some point! I haven't had need to use it since I started the thread but I now look forward to doing so when I next have one of those forgetful dreams! It'll be interesting to see if the cards are actually able to stir up my memories of it, as well as helping me to understand it! Thank you!

Dream decoding simple spread by ATer amaretta from here It's very simple (4 cards) spread which I always use to decode the meaning of a dream. 1.....2.....3 ......4....... 1. What was it all about? This card shows what did actually happen in the dream, what the whole story was about. 2. Why did you see it in a dream? This card indicates the situation in your real life which could produce that dream. 3. What was that dream for? This card contains some wisdom your unconsciousness try to tell you about the situation recognized by the card 2. 4. The practical advice. This card tells what you must practically do to resolve the problem. This spread, though very simple, helps to see the whole structure of a dream, also it may remind you some details which seem to be fogotten. It's arranged in sections, thanks to the beautiful work by Hemera[/member] and the people before her. It's an archive for generations to come. If I am looking for a spread or topic of reading, I look in this section first and then the AT index, then search AT (some spreads didn't make it into the index as various times) and then I search google. But it's a resource which has so many spread ideas :thumbsup:
