I am wondering how many Tarot books you have. I have more books than decks.

I have 20 books on Tarot. How many do you have?

 

I have three - and two on their way...

I have a few that are sort of tarot but not really and I have quite a lot of otherwise occult books, lots of Golden Dawn, Crowley, Ritual magic and traditional stuff too.

 

All in all about 200+ tarot books and about the same 200+ occult books.

Right now I'm only at 18 so it's a little less than my decks. I think I have about 25 now, got some new ones over summer and I haven't gotten around to counting them all yet ;)

I love books too! But don't restrict myself to Tarot, or even esoteric subjects. Lots of fiction and non-fiction as well. I am actually not sure how many Tarot/spiritual-related books I have right now. Tarot, probably 10 or 12? A couple on dream interpretation, one on general symbolism (not just Tarot or dreams, but other facets as well), animal symbols/totems/guides. Also a couple of books on esoteric properties of crystals and stones.

 

This thread reminded me that I'd wanted to get out my "Book of Thoth" book in preparation for the 78 Weeks study group. I also recently ordered Vol. 2 of the Haindl Tarot book since I'll be using that deck for my study.

I just have 4 tarot books, and for now I'm finding that quite sufficient. :)

I read everything about tarot I could lay my hands on when I started reading cards.

100's of books I'm sure.

(If I remember correctly Jema is a retired librarian so of course hugs her books close)

 

I've kept 4 or 5 favorites on runes

and one on IChing

and 3 thoth books, and 2 RWS books.  Plus the ones that come with decks, I always try to buy a kit if one is available.

edited to add, if my eyes were better I'd buy Benbell Wen's book in a heartbeat

45+ including companion books with more than 100 pages. The libraries of some of the commenters above make me want to bow down my head in abject obeisance.

71 companion books and general tarot books.

Just did another inventory, and I'd reach 60+ books by year's end.

Just counted them.  I have 75 Tarot books as of right now.  And, 19 decks.  I only wish I could honestly say that I knew everything that's in at least one of them!  :P

It's a notebook, that I have written in myself. With all the meanings and insights in the cards I have inherited from my family <3

Only the one I got with the deck I'm using now.

Beyond the basics, I really didn't find tarot books able to teach me much about readings.

Might be the books I looked at though, for me,

spiritual systems, psychology and such taught me much more about reading.

41 books of which 13 are cognate with/specific to a particular deck (along with 72 decks). None of that is indicative of my knowledge or experience but rather my hopes.

I have about 5 books and 5 ebooks! I bought them whilst learning. These days I mostly use the internet as reference but there are about 5 books / ebooks I still regularly use as reference. I've not really felt the need to buy a whole library of divination books, maybe I just don't use them enough but I do buy decks  :))

l did once upon a time have at least 20 books, but l passed most of them on to others.  My collection now is just  a Thoth, Marseille, RWS which l like to refer to from time to time.

I have 2 guidebooks and 5 tarot books one of which I think is not so good.

My favorites are Modern Tarot by M. Tea, 78 degrees and another book that I cannot remember the title of by Rachel Pollack and the Joan Bunning book. So I guess pretty much what I own! Lol! I want the M. Greer book someday.

I have The Masks of Tarot by S. Grossberg, and The Pictorial Key to the Tarot by Waite, and my copy of Holistic Tarot by Benebell Wen is in the mail right now.  :)
