I don't read lenormand but...

...sometimes, when I see how beautiful some of the decks are, I wish I did  :P  :D

It's never too late to start!!  ;D Of course trying to learn/perfect too many things at once makes the individual progress slower, but trying out new things can bring some good surprises sometimes!

I personally really like the concept of the Lenormand and I have a deck myself, but I haven't been too 'good' at interpreting stuff yet! So I seldom practice it, but I won't surrender!  :)

Thanks for your encouragement Onaorkal! :) <3 Maybe I will try it some day. I don't know too much about lenormand...my understanding (although this may be incorrect) is that it's generally used for predictive readings, which doesn't interest me too much so I've thought that maybe it wasn't for me. (I use tarot mostly for self-knowledge and universal knowledge, a spiritual tool, and in terms of it showing what will happen I see it as showing you clearly the path that you're on, which gives you a clear picture of where you're headed, as opposed to being predictive...I know there's lots of schools of thought on it, that's just mine! I also love that the concepts and symbolism of tarot are so ancient and that it draws on concepts that are common to many mystic traditions :) ) But maybe I am selling lenormand short! What are your ideas of how lenormand can be used?

But wow, all that said, some of the decks are gorgeous! And I am a sucker for a beautiful deck, lol :D

I have exactly 1 lenormand deck too, haha. I haven't used it much but I think it could be very versatile. The main difference that I take from it is that lenormand is more straightforward than tarot. Less symbolism and directions you could take the interpretation, that sort of thing. The card combos interest me a lot too. Some day I should get a proper book for it and make an effort :)

Thanks for your thoughts Page of Ghosts! That's helpful...I think I had misunderstood what lenormand can do. So I may get around to it some day...I think for now tarot is challenging me enough :D

I think it's true that a lot of people seem to use the Lenormand for predictions, especially when doing the Grand Tableau where you use all the 36 cards!

But I personally prefer to use it when asking for advice. ''What would be the best decision in this situation?'' for example, or ''What did this event truly mean?''

I don't really like to use it for predictions in fact, because out of the 36 cards, a couple have potentially scary meanings (depending on the other cards of the spread) and the likeliness of a gloomy prediction is quite high. I don't feel confident enough in my knowledge of the cards and their meanings to be at ease when this happens haha!

I hope you will give it a chance some day!  :)

Very interesting Onaorkal! I should look up some video lenormand readings or something. It sounds quite fascinating. I love exploring symbolism in general so maybe I would really enjoy it. I think the next divination method that is calling me after tarot is runes, but I will have to keep lenormand in mind...or maybe it will happen into my life [emoji4]

I don't know much about Lenormand either. But I already have three decks and bought a few books, and one day I know I'm going to master them too. We can do it, RavenOfSummer. ;)
