Would like to add one to my collection (very small collection!) - but I haven’t found one that’s caught my eye yet :) Thank you!

As I wrote that post I thought hmmm I wonder if I should mention that there was one I really loved called The Fantastic Menagerie but that it costs like a ridiculous amount of money because it’s out of print and impossible to find if you’re lucky to find one being resold.... that that was the one that spoke to me most in all the animal decks I’ve ever looked at. I am *not* kidding you!!!!! I’m absolutely stunned 😂! Thank you!! And now let’s get to the: OhMiGosh they might reprint it?!?!? Huge, huge smile on my face. Oh I hope!! Thank you again!!

Public interest tends to speed these things along. Right now they're working on a new edition of the Baroque Bohemian Cats, with cold stamping. Another great animal deck, I like it - and I'm not normally a cat Tarot person.

Some cards don't have animals and have flowers or plants instead, but most do have animals. There is one human depicted, and that's for The Devil. The newer editions have thinner borders and a non-bloody Ten of Swords. I also really would love a reprint of the Fantastic Menagerie!

And I do love that there are flowers and plant life too - I was looking at some decks that were just flowers and thinking about those too. I like the thick white borders it really offsets the images nicely. Thank you for the recommendation!!
bookshop Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 The friends and acquaintances I read for absolutely all LOVE the Badgers Forest tarot, there's such a lively pure ethos about that deck that I think they really respond to. For me, no animal deck is more thoughtfully done than the Brady Tarot. It's just so beautiful, so beautifully packaged and designed, and such a deeply fascinating look both at the tarot and the wildlife it depicts. And like nature itself it's not afraid to be brutal or harsh, which makes it feel truly wild, and also makes its moments of levity and joy more meaningful to me. Add in the fantastically insightful and informational book by Rachel Pollock and to me it's one of the smartest and most fully realized tarot decks out there.

I had noticed this one and stopped on it briefly because it is so intricate and beautiful. But I hadn’t looked at it really closely until now and found a couple walkthrough videos on YouTube. It is definitely even more beautiful as I look more closely at the images. And obviously the colors are so serene. I like the correlations / interpretations I saw too - such as the Traveler and the Shaman. Thank you for putting it back on my radar and sharing!

And it's affordable.
