What Should I Buy?

I am struggling to decide whether to buy myself a book about tarot or a tarot deck.

Both cost around the same price.

What do you recommend I buy?

I am thinking between holistic tarot book and anna k. tarot deck.

I would say - if you haven't already got a deck of cards, buy cards.  There is so much information on line (and on this forum) that you can learn alot with a deck of cards and no book.  I think it would be almost impossible to progress far in the study of tarot without a deck.

If you have a deck, look at some of the book recommendations and see if anything appeals to you

I drew a card to help me decide, and here is the result!

Book:7 of wands

Card: The devil

 

My interpretation: It is better to go with the book, although I need to be cautious about my purchase.

It is better than the card which will get me into a purchasing addiction.

I change my mind. I think the cards want me to buy the card.

Here is my interpretation:

7 of wands indicated that I should be cautious with buying book.

While the devil indicated that the card is the sexier choice.

lol I like how you interpret Devil as *sexier choice!xD in my reading it represent*Temptation so cards are more tempting choice?:)

imo just think what you would be rather doing right now & leave other choice for later?;)

 

p.s i interpret 7 of wands as be ready to fight so it's probably m9re demanding/ challenging material?!;)

Me too I like the 'sexier choice'. If you look at the two cards next to each other, they feel to talk about your inner battle and it is up to you to take a decision. See the chain around the people in The Devil can just be removed and you are free.

I think you should go with the Deck and that Devil is telling you about what is coming....many more decks and temptations and a spiraling into an abyss that you can't yet foresee standing where you are now. By all means Get the Deck!!! Then go join the What's the Postman Bringing Thread. 🤣

Yes! Apps are a great way to try out decks for a fraction of the cost.
