A Weather-forecasting Experiment

Featured Replies

I would like to forecast the weather.

I have the feeling that there are more weather cards. By example based on RWS:

The Tower can mean a storm.

3 of Swords stands for rain (there is rain visible on this card).

5 of Pentacles and the Hermit  stands for snow.

10 of Cups beautiful weather (all the figures are standing outside on a sunny day).

I thought about adding more detail, but I was trying to "normalize" it along the lines of a scientific weather forecast for the purpose of long-range comparison to actual weather conditions. If my model shows cloudy weather I could always pull another card (or cards) to indicate the level of severity. But that's probably putting too fine a point on what I'm trying to do. Plus, I was basing it on the Thoth deck, which has no human figures on the pips and mainly conveys mood.
