Stumbling through YouTube I happened upon this bio of Aleister Crowley. Done, clearly, by a dispassionate onlooker but interesting.  Here. With some amusing comments.

Dispassionate ? I think not.... What a nasty guy (the youtuber not Uncle Al.)

 

And he can't even seem to pronounce Crowley consistently, which is weird.#

 

NOT impressed. He's clearly read the Great Beast.

I guess I should have inserted an *wink* emoji? I thought it was an , um, interesting early background story. Many famous artists, writers and thinkers have offered invaluable contributions to civilization in spite, or perhaps because, of their shortcomings.
