This week I'll be using the LightSeers Tarot - by the same person who did the Muse Tarot.    The cards are really, really thick.

I'm in with the Daniloff Tarot paired with a set of Kuan Yin Sticks.

VGimlet, that's how I felt about the Golden - felt like I was shuffling coasters. 😄

Hi, could I join? I will be using the Flornoy Jean Dodal TdM.

Welcome Carla! It's good to 'see' you and have you as a part of the DoW group.

Hi Carla -   come on in, the DoTW water is fine and this is a no piranhas or sharks pool.   😉  Welcome!

That perfectly encapsulates my feeling about the Muse.   Really pretty, but....

This week I'll be using the Daniloff Tarot, created and self-published by Alexander Daniloff. I'll also be using a set of Kuan Yin Sticks with the corresponding verses from Stephen Karcher's book The Kuan Yin Oracle as well as from www.kuanshihyin.net. Today's draws are the Nine of Pentacles and Verse 56:

Kuan Yin painting by Artto Pan

Under a grapevine trellis, a woman pauses to enjoy the morning and do some bird watching. Her gown and the castle behind her might make people judge her as being born into money or having married into wealth. But neither is true; it has been her own hard work that has led her to this place. The discipline of continually adding to her skills and knowledge and then putting these to work has created self-sufficiency and financial independence. As Pele once said, "Success is no accident." The 56th Kuan Yin verse reads:

The beauty of moonbeams, the cool evening breeze,

the soft murmur of a stream refresh us.

But don't let yourself be distracted

by the charming flowers and trees.

There's nothing wrong with taking a relaxing break to rejuvenate one's mind and body. But this verse is a reminder that nothing stays in place, so we shouldn't convince ourselves that since we've climbed to the top we can just sit there. The more we have, the more we have to occupy ourselves by taking care of it. Perhaps the next step for this woman is needing less so she will have more time and energy to spend freely.

Yesterday was fraught. Today I asked, 'What do I do with these strong emotions I have been feeling?'

Do.

Sitting with them isn't called for. 'Leaning into' them isn't called for. Take action.

What action? The action that has the energy of the wind. 'Before they are cut down, the tall trees know who whispers in their leaves.' You know.

Great interpretation of that card for your situation, Carla. Worst thing to do for strong emotions (imo) is to think about them, which just keeps us on that hamster wheel.

What is the most important thing I can do today?

8 of Swords

Don't get trapped in your thoughts about troubles. Bring awareness to when overthinking creeps in, and include the advice of yesterday, which is to get up and get moving (Ace of Batons).

(No time this morning to find or scan the image.)

Even though the Lightseers Tarot is printed on the same very heavy cardstock I like this deck more than I did the Muse for some undefinable reason.    Weird, I say.   Today my reading was all about what you do when your patience doesn't pay off.   (Trauma - 3 of Wands)   Path to Healing 1 - 8 of Swords - Accept that your nightmares came true, grieve and then move on.   Path to Healing 2 - Hanged Man - Try and be patient a little longer, and maybe things will work out, or at least you'll see where they went wrong.

Good advice for a day that didn't QUITE turn out how I'd expected....
