EmpyreanKnight Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I cobbled this from an initial interview spread, adding another question that resonated with me. I have previously used this on my Centennial and Barbara Walker, and I also plan to use this on my Wild Unknown and Modern Spellcaster's. I will put these readings up on my Readings Journal thread and then post the links here later. I hope that you find it useful too. Enjoy! Edit: from Daniel's comment in another thread, I'm glad to finally find out where it is from. I only wrote it in my written Tarot journal, and I wasn't able to trace back its provenance until now. It seems like it is a spread created by FireRaven, which she acknowledged was inspired by the deck interview spreads of other readers too. I guess the wisdom of the Tarot is really an edifice that we all slowly build on, rock by rock, by our experiences and interactions. You can see it HERE. :)
EmpyreanKnight Posted October 2, 2017 Author Posted October 2, 2017 New Deck Initial Interview Deck:- Deck Name ********** 1 ********** ****** 3 ****** 2 ****** ********** 4 ********** ****** 6 ****** 5 ****** ********** 7 ********** Position 1 Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic? Position 2 What are your strengths as a deck? Position 3 What are your limits as a deck? Position 4 What are you here to teach me? Position 5 How can I best learn and collaborate with you? Position 6 How do you perceive me? Position 7 What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?
Trogon Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 That's a pretty thorough spread! That will give you really good insight to your deck. I've been using a 3-card New Deck spread for years. Not quite as in-depth though.
EmpyreanKnight Posted October 8, 2017 Author Posted October 8, 2017 Thanks Trogon! I'd be putting up some examples later. What my Wild Unknown and Modern Spellcaster's said in their interview earlier this week was very encouraging. :)
EmpyreanKnight Posted November 9, 2017 Author Posted November 9, 2017 Sample Reading for the Smith-Waite Centennial Tarot
Trogon Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 That reading for your Centennial was excellent. I really like the in-depth look at the relationship with the cards. It's an excellent spread. Oh, I loved that "party is over" interpretation of the 3 of Cups-rx ... but you labeled it as the 3 of Wands ... just so's you edit if you want to. "You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here." ;D
EmpyreanKnight Posted November 13, 2017 Author Posted November 13, 2017 Thanks for the tip, Trogon. I just changed it. :)
