Golden Lenormand Oracle

The Golden Lenormand Oracle by Lo Scarabeo is going to be released early next year, right after the holidays. It was originally scheduled to come out this month, but like the Tarocchino Mitelli, it's been delayed. I hope this one pushes through, as I can't wait to get it in my hands. :)

With gold foil background impressions similar to the ones found in the Golden Universal Tarot (which I also have), this promises to be a treat. Is this the very first metallic Lenormand? It doesn't have huge slabs of foil like in metallic Tarot decks, so it assures that the bling won't be a distraction when you work out your combinations.

So what do you think?

Shame it only opens up to one picture for me on that website, so I cannot see the foils at all.

I do have one Blue Owl antique and one vintage deck which have gold edged corners on every single card. Published like that back in their time I believe. I really like them a lot!.

I like the images in the Golden Lenormand Oracle from what I can see, but wish it would ENLARGE on ONE SINGLE card rather than just the FIRST ONE with the red box and cards so I can see the foil tones.

This is the only large image I can extract from that page:

Alright! I studied the source of the page and I got these too:

I hope that helped, DownUnderNZer. :)

I see it now and the card next to it. Looks like where the sky is - is the gold foil sprinkled across it like glitter.

Will have to join the club to own one as well when it is released.

Thanks for the enlarged photo.

DND  :)

PS And the next lot as well.

You're welcome, DND! :D

I just noticed something too. I thought the Ship card looked a bit like my French Cartomancy, so I opened my deck set and compared the images. But the Rider from the Golden and the French are too different, so I junked it.

But something nagged in my mind, so I still tried to look around for similar images. And voila! It seems like the Golden is a foiled version of the Mlle Lenormand Blue Owl, but with the poem replaced by card inserts (which I personally prefer) and the right uppermost circle mirroring the numbering on the left. Plus the gold foil of course.

So now we know where the images were sourced from. :D

The BLUE OWL with the card inserts has been my favorite deck and constant companion for about 13 years or so. I was first introduced to the Lenormand about 15 years ago. Talk bout a walk down memory lane.

This GOLDEN LENORMAND deck is on my LIST TO OWN!

Neat!  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for sharing!

Yay DND! I can't wait for January. ;D

And whew, that's why you are so knowledgeable about the Lenormand. 15 years - you must have already mastered it. Kudos to you. I can only hope that one day I'd get to be like that too. :)

Just noticed that these seem to be large-sized, maybe even Tarot-sized. The box size is recorded as 4 inches by 5 inches, so if the cards are around its size, then a Grand Tableaux might get a little unwieldy. I'd still be getting it tho.

The original release date for the Golden Lenormand is supposed to be 2018, but it seems like it is already available now. Still checking sources. If it is, I'm going to grab my copy. :)

Yup, my US source just confirmed that it is available now via one of Amazon's sellers, which is weird since it's scheduled to be released in early January of next year. Anyway, I had him order a deck for me, which should arrive here before December. :)

Yes, I saw this a few months ago. I could be tickled with a sparkley Blaue Eule, if it wasn't the size of manhole covers.

Wake me up if they make a bridge-sized one that can actually be used. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. (No offense. Just zzzzz.)

Lol none taken, katrinka. Since my table won't be able to take all those yuuuge cards, I can see myself reading a Grand Tableau in my bed instead. ;D These babies must be a bit bigger than Tarot cards.

All that bling tho. 8)

Btw, sent you a PM somewhere else, katrinka. :)

That other place? I remember that.  :D Sorry to just now reply here. Life got in the way. So I made a thing:

The thing with LS, is they can do foiling really, really well when they want to. But this glitter - if it's like that school supply aisle holographic stuff they put on the Wirth, it's tacky.

A Lenormand-sized Blue Owl with either foil or even a very light sprinkle of very fine gold glitter would be something a lot of people would adore. I don't know why they didn't do that. I don't think they get Lenormand at all.

BTW, the playing card insets are original to the Blue Owl, it's an option that's been around forever. It's a little tricky getting them - I think they might be for the German market, I don't remember exactly - but all LS did was make them waaaaay oversized, glitter them, and change the backs.

Katrinka! ❤ LoS Metallic Decks are really gorgeous! I only have three but with what I've seen, I'm planning to buy all of them. The foil on the Golden Lenormand images does seem like the metal backgrounds on the Golden Universal (which I love to bits). Once I get the deck in my hands I will inform you guys here if that is indeed the case or if it's the glittery kind in the Golden Wirth. I should get it before the end of the month.

I love large decks. I can see much more detail, and I have big hands so that shuffling them feels so much more natural. But I think you're right too - the Golden Lenormand should also be available poker-sized. I would buy both! :)

And I don't mean to gush but arggghhh I love that pupper! It's an Akita, right?

I chuckled reading the tags in that pic tho. Been swamped with work myself, and aside from the gym, Tarot is my only other outlet. The way it's going lately, I'm going to be a Hermit before long heh. :-\ In any case, don't forget to relax and take some time out, alright?

Close. It's a Shiba Inu. They're both Japanese spitz-types, but the Akita is a lot bigger. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiba_Inu

There are always the original Blue, Red, and White Owls. (I'm surprised LS hasn't been hit with a copyright notice.)

Hachiko is the statue of the dog outside Shibuya station - have you been there?

He was an Akita. They're kind of like cousins.  :D Akitas are just a LOT bigger.

Did you see the movie? They changed a lot of things, but I still give it five hankies, lol.

I haven't been to Japan, but I've watched the movie with Richard Gere. Absolute gem of a film, but I shan't be watching it anytime soon. I don't look good when I cry (or bawl lol).

Posted

Yeah. It's not a "tear up a little and wipe your eyes" film. It's full-on soaking rivers of tears all the way to the shirt, and some snot to go with them. NOT the most flattering way for anyone to look.

Hachiko is well known in Japan and this huge monument (not like Liberty) sits outside Shibuya station in recognition of him.

There is this beautifu lone seal that has joined the ranks now as well called "Tama Chan". Books were published about him and he was constantly on the news over a few years when spotted. I was in Japan when all this went down.

Japan fell in love with him and even gave him full honary Japanese Citizenzhip which caused a bit of protesting from immigrants that were against it as they were having a hard time getting it themselves.

Hope and relief from everyday pressures of life is what Tama Chan was all about.

I bought a book on him myself.

I ordered the same one created by the artist (I think) which was released in October 2017 only I did not know about it until recently. There is one in October 2017 and one in January 2018. The same deck from what I can gather.

So, it should be arriving in the next week or two.
